Dabra police station arrested a smuggler with more than 02 kg of ganja near Jhansi Highway Service Road.
On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Gwalior Shri Rakesh Kumar Sagar (Bapu Se), Gwalior Police is taking effective action against those who buy and sell illegal drugs, illegal liquor and illegal weapons. In this connection, Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Shri Niranjan Sharma has instructed all the police station in-charges under his control to do effective checking of vehicles and suspicious persons in their respective police station areas.
In compliance with the instructions of senior officers, under the able guidance of SDOP Dabra Shri Vivek Sharma and during the action being taken under the leadership of Police Station Incharge Dabra City Inspector Yashwant Goyal and Balveer Mavai, on 02.09.2024, the Dabra City Police Station received information through an informer that a smuggler of illegal drugs is standing near Sahrai Bridge Jhansi Highway Service Road in an attempt to sell ganja. On the said information, a police team was sent to the place mentioned by the informer. There the police team saw a suspicious person standing, who tried to run away after seeing the police team, but the smuggler was surrounded and caught by the police team. On asking the name and address of the arrested smuggler, he told his name as Ravi son of Hakim Singh Jatav, resident of Hanuman Mandir Wujurg Road Dabra. When the white colored sack found in the hands of the arrested suspect was opened and checked, it was found to be full of ganja. On weighing the illegal drug ganja, its weight was found to be 02 kg 100 grams, which was duly seized by the police team and a case of NDPS has been registered against the said ganja smuggler in Dabra city police station and investigation has been taken up. The arrested accused Ravi Jatav is addicted to selling ganja, who has been arrested in the past as well in Dabra city police station.
Arrested smuggler: Ravi son of Hakim Singh Jatav resident of Hanuman Mandir Wujurg Road Dabra Gwalior.
Seized goods: Ganja 02 kg 100 grams, 01 Oppo company mobile worth about Rs 30,000/-.
Commendable role: Police station in-charge Dabra city Inspector Yashwant Goyal, Sub Inspector Balveer Singh Mawai, R Avinash Patsaria, Jai Kishan, Mintu Parihar, Pravesh Chaurasia, Mahendra Singh Chandel played a commendable role in catching the said smuggler.
