The court has sentenced the accused who did not return the fifty thousand rupees taken as dowry.
The accused needed money,so he took fifty thousand rupees from the plaintiff. A cheque was issued for the said dowry amount, but the said cheque was dishonoured in the bank once. So the plaintiff filed a case in the court. In these cases, the plaintiff Pratik Subhash Ajmera filed a case against builder Purushottam R. Maheshwari.
In the said case, the present Sixth Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate V. S. Khandbahale found the accused guilty in the said case and sentenced him to one day's imprisonment and a fine of eighty thousand rupees and one month's imprisonment for not paying the fine. Advocate Sumit Mahesh Bajaj, Advocate Kunal Shinde, Advocate Varsha Sadar pleaded on behalf of the plaintiff in the said case. The special thing is that the present court did not consider the decision given by the Consumer Grievance Redressal Commission on behalf of the accused in the said case.
