“Combing patrolling” in all the police station areas of the district with the aim of maintaining law and order.

During combing patrolling, the police took action against miscreants in 19 cases of illegal liquor and one case of betting including 215 absconding warrants.

During combing patrol, Gwalior Police arrested a total of 215 warrantees including 116 permanent and 99 arrests and checked 362 goons and history-sheeters in various police stations of the district.

19 persons involved in illegal liquor smuggling and 01 accused in betting case have been arrested and action has been taken.

Sandeep Shukla | Gwalior | In order to maintain law and order in the district and to tighten the noose on habitual criminals, on the instructions of Superintendent of Police Gwalior Shri Dharamveer Singh, BHP, in Gwalior district on the intervening night of 19/20.05.2024, in the police station areas of the city and rural areas from evening till late night. Combing patrols were carried out. During this, Additional Superintendent of Police City (East) Mr. Shiaz KM, BHP, Additional Superintendent of Police City (West) Mr. Gajendra Vardhaman, Additional Superintendent of Police City (Central) Mr. Akhilesh Renwal and Additional Superintendent of Police Rural Mr. Niranjan Sharma and Gwalior Police. All the gazetted officers of May Police Force along with their subordinate police station in-charges conducted combing patrolling in Gwalior city and rural areas. Before combing patrolling, section wise police force was assembled at different places and the force was briefed by gazetted officers, after which they were sent for combing patrolling in different areas.

On this occasion the Superintendent of Police, Gwalior himself took stock of the combing patrolling in the city and the police officers were directed to take effective action. The combing patrolling of Gwalior Police has created panic among the miscreants of the district. Gwalior police officers along with subordinate police station forces conducted foot patrolling in their respective areas. During this time, along with checking the homes of absconding criminals, warrant officers, goons, history-sheeter criminals and accused of district Badar, they also checked bank ATMs, lodges and dhabas. For this patrolling, police officers formed teams and patrolled the identified sensitive areas in the city and rural areas.

During this period a total of 116 standing warrants, 99 arrest warrants were served in the district, along with 186 goons and 176 history-sheeters were checked, along with this, action was taken against 19 persons involved in smuggling of illegal liquor and 01 case in betting. Along with this, the accused of district Badar were checked and challan action was taken against those who violated traffic rules under the Motor Vehicle Act.

During this campaign police teams took preventive action against many active criminals and also updated the records of goons and history-sheeters. The police roamed the streets and neighborhoods of the city and rural areas and arrested goons and miscreants. This combing patrol was conducted by Superintendent of Police Gwalior with the aim of maintaining law and order in the district. Police teams visited the houses of goons and miscreants and took information about them. During checking, every goon and miscreant were also warned that if they are found involved in any criminal activities, strict action will be taken against them. The accused who were released from jail were also checked. This action taken by Gwalior Police with the aim of controlling crime and maintaining law and order will continue in future also.
