02 DRUG-PEDDLERS ARRESTED BY TEAM OF NARCOTICS/ NORTH-WEST DISTRICT.

TOTAL 01.081 KG OPIUM RECOVERED FROM THEIR POSSESSION.
ONE MOTORCYCLE USED IN THE DELIVERY OF THE CONTRABAND ALSO RECOVERED.
THEY INDULGED IN DRUG PEDDLING FOR THE PAST FEW MONTHS AND HAD SUPPLIED CONTRABAND SUBSTANCE TO VARIOUS CLIENTS ON DEMAND.
THEY STARTED CRIME TO EARN EASY MONEY.
The team of Narcotics NWD has arrested 02 drug-peddlers, namely (1) Ranjeet S/o Haram Singh, R/o: Nathupur, Gurugram (HR), Age: 25 years & (2) Rajesh Singh S/o Sh. Dharmender Singh, R/o Nathupur, Gurugram (HR), Age: 21 years and recovered 01.081 kg of fine quality Opium from their possession along with one motorcycle used in the delivery of the contraband. During interrogation, it was revealed that the both accused persons have been actively involved in drug peddling for the past few months, supplying contraband substances to various clients on demand.

Brief Facts and Incident Details:-

Acting proactively to curb crime and criminal activities in the area of North-West District, staff of Narcotics was deployed on patrolling duties with a specific focus on identifying and apprehending drug peddlers.

Based on a credible tip-off regarding 02 drug peddlers operating in the area of Azadpur Mandi, Delhi, a dedicated police team comprising ASI Chander Pal, HC Rohit, HC Parveen and HC Sunil was constituted under the close supervision of Insp. Madan Mohan, I/C Narcotics, and overall guidance of Sh. Ranjeet Dhaka, ACP/Operations.

On 03.08.2025, acting on the input, the team was strategically positioned near Gate No. 5, Azadpur Mandi, Delhi. Acting promptly on the informer’s indication, the team exhibited keen vigilance and successfully apprehended two suspicious individuals along with one motorcycle used in the delivery of the contraband. On searching Ranjeet, the team recovered 01.081 Kg of fine quality Opium, which was found, concealed in their possession in a bag. Upon enquiry, they were identified as (1) Ranjeet S/o Haram Singh, R/o Nathupur, Gurugram, (HR), Age: 25 years & (2) Rajesh Singh S/o Sh. Dharmender Singh, R/o Nathupur, Gurugram, (HR), Age: 21 years.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 416/25, U/s 18/25/29 NDPS Act was registered at PS Mahendra Park, and further investigation was taken up.

Interrogation & Modus Operandi:-

During sustained interrogation, they confessed to being involved in drug peddling for the past several months. They further disclosed that they used to collect contraband substances from different locations across Delhi and supplied it to his clients on demand. They committed crime to earn easy money.

Further investigation is underway to trace their possible links and involvement in other narcotic-related cases.

Details of Accused Persons:-

1. Ranjeet S/o Haram Singh, R/o Nathupur, Gurugram (HR), Age: 25 years. Previous involvement: - Nil.

2. Rajesh Singh S/o Sh. Dharmender Singh, R/o Nathupur, Gurugram (HR), Age: 21 years. Previous involvement:- Nil.

Recovery:-

01.081 Kg Opium.
One motorcycle used in the delivery of the contraband.

Further investigation of the case is in progress.
