PROCLAIMED OFFENDER LADY ARRESTED BY THE TEAM OF EASTERN RANGE-II, CRIME BRANCH

ARRESTED LADY KAMLESH @ KAJAL IS A PROCLAIMED OFFENDER IN THREE CASES.

INTRODUCTION:

The team of Eastern Range-II, Crime Branch, Delhi has been specifically instructed to take action against wanted criminals from the North East District. In line with these directions, records of criminals from North East Delhi were thoroughly scrutinized.

During the scrutiny, it was found that in a case of PS Rajender Nagar, the accused, a resident of Maujpur, North East Delhi, has been lodged in Central Jail since 25-07-2025.

Local intelligence regarding the family was developed, revealing that Kamlesh ( wife of accused Ramesh @ Kallu ) was no longer residing at her registered address. It was also found that she is an absconder in three criminal cases, and police had been making regular visits to her house in an effort to apprehend her.

TEAM AND OPERATION:

A team comprising ASI Satender, ASI Raj Kumar, HC Shivani, HC Surjeet, HC Simran, and HC Pooja was constituted under the leadership of Insp.

Sunil Kumar Kundu and the supervision of Sh. Yash Pal Singh, ACP/ER-II, to nab the proclaimed offender.

To evade arrest, the accused Kamlesh @ Kajal was frequently changing her residence and mobile numbers to avoid execution of courtissued processes.

Based on local intelligence and technical surveillance, a trap was laid. The accused, Kamlesh @ Kajal, wife of Ramesh @ Kallu, resident of H.No. 178, Gali No. 3, Kachi Colony, Maujpur, Jafrabad, Delhi (age 41 years), was apprehended from Dharampura red light, Shastri Park by the team led by Insp. Sunil Kumar Kundu. She was subsequently produced before the Hon’ble Court and sent to judicial custody.

PREVIOUS INVOLVEMENTS:

1. FIR No. 12/18 under Sections 186/353/332/506/225/34 IPC dated 08/01/2018, PS Crime Branch – Declared a proclaimed offender vide order dated 27-05-2023 by CMM, Shahdara, KKD Courts, Delhi.

2. FIR No. 192/12 under Sections 454/380/34 IPC, PS Saket – Declared a proclaimed offender on 30/10/2023 by the Hon’ble Court of Ld. ACMM, South District.

3. FIR No. 485/2023 under Section 174A IPC dated 23/11/2023, PS Saket.

INCIDENT:

On 07-01-2018, a team of ISC Crime Branch conducted a raid in E-Block, Seemapuri, during which the accused Kamlesh @ Kajal and her two associates, namely Jyoti and Kishan @ Rishi, assaulted and obstructed the police team and attempted to help the accused Shabir Teli escape. Kamlesh was arrested and chargesheeted. However, during the trial, she absconded and shifted to a new address in Maujpur.

Her husband, Ramesh @ Kallu, is a habitual offender previously involved in fifteen cases of burglary. He is currently in judicial custody in Tihar Jail since 25/07/2025. Kamlesh is also involved in a burglary case registered at PS Saket in 2012.

In 2023, she was declared a proclaimed offender in both cases—PS Crime Branch and PS Saket. Later, on the directions of the Hon’ble Court, a separate case FIR No. 485/2023 under Section 174A IPC was also registered by PS Saket. This case has also been chargesheeted; however, the accused remained absconding until now.
