TWO DESPERATE AUTO-LIFTERS ARRESTED BY THE TEAM OF PS BURARI, NORTH DISTRICT, DELHI

BOTH THE AUTO-LIFTERS WERE ARRESTED WITH THE HELP TECHNICAL ANALYSIS AND HUMAN INTELLIGENCE.
THREE STOLEN MOTORCYCLES RECOVERED.
TOTAL 03 CASES OF MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT OF PS BURARI SOLVED.
ONE OF THE ACCUSED PERSONS NAMELY HARDEEP @ MICKY IS AN ACTIVE CRIMINAL OF PS BURARI, DELHI.
THE ACCUSED USED TO SELL THE STOLEN TWO-WHEELERS IN PARTS TO THE SUITABLE BUYERS FOR EASY EARNINGS.

INCIDENT:

On 06.08.2025, an online E-FIR No. 021621/25 u/s 305(b) BNS was got registered at PS Burari, regarding theft of a motorcycle, make Hero Splendor bearing reg. No. DL8SBJ5626 by complainant Mohd. Wazid, r/o Garhi, Burari, Delhi. On the same day, another E-FIR No. 021617 dated 06.08.2025 u/s 305(b) BNS was also got registered at PS Burari, regarding theft of a motorcycle, make Bajaj Discover on the complaint of Sh. Mayank Gupta, r/o Upkar Colony, Burari, Delhi. The investigation of both the cases was initiated accordingly.

TEAMS, INVESTIGATION & OPERATION:

Immediately, a team led by Inspr. Jaspal Singh (Inspr. Law & Order), comprising SI Naveen (In-charge PP Govt. Hospital Burari), SI Deepak, ASI Pradeep, HC Rahis, HC Narender, HC Anil Kumar and HC Ashutosh was constituted, under the close supervision of Inspr. Girish Chander, SHO/PS Burari and guidance of Shri Shashikant, ACP/Sub-Division Burari, Delhi to nab the culprits along-with the recovery of stolen two-wheelers.

During investigation, the police team visited the crime scenes, reviewed the CCTV footage of the vicinity and analyzed the movements of suspects. The team also checked the jail bail releases of local criminals and activated secret informers to gather local intelligence. On 06.08.25, the police team succeeded in apprehending an auto-lifter identified as Ranjeet from the area of Pepsi Road, West Sant Nagar, Burari, Delhi. One stolen Motorcycle, make Hero Splendor bearing registration number DL8SBJ5626 was recovered from his possession.

On the same day i.e. 06.08.25, acting upon a secret information, another auto-lifter was also caught while he was pushing the stolen motorcycle, make Bajaj Discover bearing reg. No. DL11SE8749 in Gali No. 17, Tomar Colony, Burari towards a petrol pump, as it was out of fuel. He was identified as Hardeep @ Micky, r/o Tomar Colony, Burari, Delhi. Both the stolen motorcycles were taken into police possession and both the accused were arrested in the above MV theft cases.

INTERROGATION:

During the course of interrogation, accused Ranjeet disclosed that he had stolen the recovered motorcycle make Hero Splendor from the area of Saya Vihar, Burari on the intervening night of 05/06.08.25. Whereas, accused Hardeep @ Micky disclosed that he had stolen the motorcycle, make Bajaj Discover from in-front of Balaji Appartment Upkar Colony, Burari during midnight of 06.08.25.

The accused persons further disclosed that they are addicted to drugs and alcohol and to fulfill their needs they have been indulged in stealing two-wheelers by using duplicate keys and used to sell the stolen two-wheelers in parts to the suitable buyers for easy earnings. It also disclosed that they have committed many incidents of stealing the two-wheelers from the nearby areas.

Further, at the instance of accused Ranjeet, another motorcycle, make Hero Passion bearing reg. No. AP23AK8136 also recovered from the area of Burari, Delhi, which was found stolen in case E-FIR No. 020856/25 dated 29.07.2025 u/s 305(b) BNS, PS Burari.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS:

1. Ranjeet, r/o Mukundpur Part-II, Delhi, age 23 years is a school dropout and drug addicted. He was previously found involved in 03 cases of Motor Vehicle Theft of Police Stations Bhalswa Dairy and Burari, Delhi. He was committing crime for more than 02 years.

2. Hardeep @ Micky, r/o Tomar Colony, Burari, Delhi, age 32 years is a school dropout and drugs addicted & alcoholic. Previously he was found involved in 22 cases of Robbery, Snatching, Motor Vehicle Theft etc. of different police stations of Delhi. He is an active criminal of PS Burari. He was recently released from jail in the month of May-2025 and again indulged in committing crime to fund his daily needs for drugs and alcohol.

RECOVERY:

03 stolen Motorcycles. (Hero Splendor, Bajaj Discover & Hero Passion).

1. Case E-FIR No. 021621/25 dated 06.08.2025 u/s 305(b)/317(2) BNS, PS Burari.

2. Case E-FIR No. 021617/25 dated 06.08.2025 u/s 305(b)/317(2) BNS, PS Burari.

3. Case E-FIR No. 020856/25 dated 29.07.2025 u/s 305(b)/317(2) BNS, PS Burari.

Further investigation is underway.
