WANTED FOR MURDER OF HIS AUNT; NABBED AFTER 13 YEARS ON THE RUN

In a swift and well-coordinated operation, the Cyber Cell, Crime Branch, Delhi Police, has arrested a wanted criminal who was declared a Proclaimed Offender in a murder case registered at PS Welcome.
Case Facts:
On 29.01.2012, accused persons Ashok, Bharat, Heera, Sonu, and Babloo poured kerosene oil on Smt. Rajrani @ Rajkumari (second wife of Bharat) and set her ablaze due to an ongoing property dispute over her claim to her husband’s property. Consequently, a case vide FIR No. 45/12 dated 08.02.2012 u/s 307/302/34 IPC was registered at PS Welcome, Delhi. On 09.07.2012, accused Sonu, Ashok Kumar, Heera Devi, and Babloo were declared POs. Ashok Kumar and Heera Devi were later apprehended, but Sonu and Babloo remained absconding.
Operation and Arrest:
A dedicated Cyber Cell team led by Insp. Manjeet Kumar, under the supervision of Sh. Anil Sharma, ACP/Cyber Cell, executed the operation successfully. The team comprised of SI Pravesh Kumar
 
Rathi, ASI Kanwarpal, HC Anuj Kumar, HC Manish Dabas, and HC Vinod, who were responsible for surveillance, tracking, and ground- level execution.
On 11/08/2025, after verifying the authenticity of the input, the Cyber Cell team conducted a meticulously planned raid near Jain School, Ansari Raod, Dariyaganj, Delhi. The team, fully prepared for immediate engagement and lawful arrest, moved swiftly and apprehended the accused after a brief chase.

• Name: Babloo  
• Father’s Name: Ashok Kumar
• Current Address: Near Model Hall, Chandni Chowk, Delhi 
• Permanent Address: DDA Market, Welcome, Delhi
• Age: 41 years.
• FIR No. 45/12 dated 08.02.2012 u/s 307/302/34 IPC, PS Welcome, Delhi
• Declared Proclaimed Offender on 09.07.2012.
Criminal Background:
• The accused is illiterate and comes from a family with a history of criminal activities. After murdering his aunt, the accused absconded with his family and took shelter in multiple cities, including Nagpur (Maharashtra), Hyderabad, Jaipur (Rajasthan), and Gogamedi (Rajasthan), continuously concealing his identity and whereabouts.
Further legal proceedings are under way.
