DESPERATE CRIMINAL, SHARP SHOOTER OF TILLU TAJPURIYA GANG INVOLVED IN MURDER OF GOGI GANG’S KARAN THAPA AT ALIPUR, ARRESTED AFTER SHOOTOUT

In a significant breakthrough, a dedicated team from the NDR/Crime branch, R. K. Puram, led by Insp Rakesh Kumar has successfully arrested Manjeet @ Dada r/o Rohtak, Haryana after a brief exchange of fire. Accused sustained gun shot injury on his leg. Accused is a notorious and desperate criminal, shooter, and wanted in the sensational murder of PS Alipur vide FIR no. 151/25 u/s 103(1)/3(5) BNS & 25/27 ARMS ACT. One Pistol, 3 live cartridges and one stolen motorcycle have been recovered from his possession.

INCIDENT AND INVESTIGATION :

On March 28, 2025, at approximately 7:30 PM, Karan Thapa—a known history-sheeter and active member of the Gogi Gang—was fatally shot by unidentified assailants riding motorcycles in the Nehru Enclave area of Alipur, Delhi. He succumbed to his injuries at Harishchandra Hospital. FIR No. 151/25, dated 29.03.2025, u/s 103(1)/3(5) BNS and 25/27 Arms Act) was registered at Police Station Alipur, and a thorough investigation was initiated.

Initial investigations linked Karan Thapa’s murder to the longstanding and violent rivalry between Gogi Gang and Tillu Tajpuriya Gang, notorious criminal syndicates across Delhi and Haryana. 03 individuals were identified as the shooters, all members of the Tillu Tajpuriya Gang as:

1. Manjeet @ Dada (Rohtak, Haryana)

2. Neeraj @ Bhura (Nangloi, Delhi)

3. Himanshu @ Monu (Behror, Rajasthan)

During investigation the accused Himanshu, who conducted prior reconnaissance, was arrested while the main shooters Manjeet and Neeraj remained at large until this recent breakthrough.

INFORMATION AND OPERATION:

A team of R. K. Puram, Crime Branch consisting of Inspr. Anuj, SIs Amit Grewal, Yatinder Malik, Narender Godara, ASIs Vikas, Kamal Godara, Kirpal, HCs Dinesh, Ravinder, Sandeep, Rahul, Satyawan, Bhag Singh, Nahanji, Sukhbir and W/Ct K.M. Reena under the leadership of Insp. Rakesh Sharma and overall supervision of Sh. Umesh Barthwal, ACP/NDR was constituted.

Sources were deployed and intelligence about the accused was gathered. On August 5, 2025, a reliable input was received that the accused Manjeet would come to Sarojni Nagar area to meet one of his associates. Acting on this input, immediately a trap was laid near Sarojni Nagar area and Manjeet @ Dada was intercepted. Upon being asked to stop, Manjeet attempted to flee and fired 03 rounds at the police team. SI Amit Grewal responded with controlled fire, injuring Manjeet in the leg and effecting his arrest. The accused was given immediate medical attention and hospitalized. A fresh FIR has been registered at the Police Station Crime Branch vide fir no. 202/2025 u/s 221/132/109 (1) BNS & 25/27 A. Act and the investigation is ongoing.

INTERROGATION:

During interrogation, it is revealed that the accused person was in contact with one gangster Deepak Pakasma @ Bhola (After Tillu Tajpuriya’s murder in jail in 2023, Deepak Pakasma assumed leadership, operating from abroad and coordinating criminal activities). Deepak had tasked Manjeet and Neeraj with the murder of Karan Thapa who was an active member of their rival gang i.e. Gogi Gang. On 28.03.2025, Manjeet, along with his associates Neeraj Bhura and Himanshu, fired several rounds at Karan Thapa in the area of Alipur, leading to his death.

PROFILE:

Manjeet @ Dada, a resident of Village Humayunpur, Rohtak, Haryana, has studied up to 12th class at Government Senior Secondary School, Village Hamanyupur, Rohtak, Haryana. After completing his schooling, he took admission in ITI, Kharkhoda, but did not complete his education due to lack of interest. He joined the gang of Tillu Tajpuria a few years ago and has been an active member of the gang.

RECOVERY:

1. One. 32 bore pistol with 03 live cartridges.

2. One stolen Motorcycle make Hero Glamour, stolen from PS Amar colony.

3. One mobile phone.

Previously he has been involved in 06 cases including attempt to murder, extortion, and Arms Act violations in Delhi and Haryana.
