TWO ACCUSED ARRESTED IN MADHU VIHAR BRUTAL MURDER CASE, BY THE TEAM OF CENTRAL RANGE, CRIME BRANCH

Accused were involved in the brutal murder of a transgender individual, Karan @ Annu, earlier the same day.
Accused apprehended within 12 hours of the crime.

INTRODUCTION:

In a swift and well-coordinated operation, the team of Central range, Crime Branch of Delhi Police has arrested two accused involved in a gruesome murder that took place on 04.08.2025 in the jurisdiction of PS Madhu Vihar. The arrested individuals have been identified as:

1. Rehan @ Ikka, S/o Md. Alluddin, R/o MCD School, Ghazipur Village, Delhi, Age 19 years

2. Md. Sarver, S/o Md. Naim, R/o Rajeev Colony, Yadav Chowk, Khoda Colony, Ghaziabad, UP, Age 20 years

DETAILS OF OPERATION:

Based on DD No. 310A dated 04.08.2025, the Central Range, Crime Branch team comprising SI Mohit Asiwal SI Dinesh, ASI Deepak

Kumar, HC Karamjeet No.1292/Crime, and HC Ajay Yadav No.812/CR proceeded from Kamla Market following specific input regarding the whereabouts of the accused.

Multiple raids were conducted in the areas of Trans-Yamuna, Ghaziabad, and Meerut to trace the suspect. However, upon receiving specific information the team reached at the Laxmi Nagar Metro Station area at around midnight, the team carried out surveillance in the adjoining parking zone and under the Shakarpur Flyover near Kishan Kunj/SDM Office.

Around 12:45 AM, two suspects matching the given description arrived on foot and stood under the flyover, appearing to wait for someone. Acting on the tip-off and after confirmation by the informer, two suspects were swiftly apprehended by the raiding team at approximately 01:00 AM.

Both suspects admitted to their involvement in the murder of Karan @ Annu, a transgender individual, earlier the same day.

CASE DETAILS:

Upon verification with PS Madhu Vihar, FIR No. 248/2025 dated 04.08.2025 U/s 103(1) BNSS was found registered. The accused revealed they murdered the victim near the Telco T-point, by stabbing with knives in the bushes along the drain. After verifying facts and completing procedural formalities both the arrests were made U/s 35(1) BNSS, following due process of law. The IO/SHO of PS Madhu Vihar has been duly informed. Both accused will be produced before the Hon’ble Court through Kalandra proceedings.

MOTIVE BEHIND THE MURDER:

During sustained interrogation, it was revealed that Rehan @ Ikka and the deceased Karan @ Annu were in a live-in relationship for the past four months. Over time, disputes arose due to Rehan's persistent extortion of money from the victim. As the victim began to distance herself, Rehan perceived it as betrayal. Enraged and possessive, Rehan conspired with his associate Md. Sarver to murder the victim.
