Delegation led by OBC Morcha President Sunil Yadav submits 15-point memorandum to Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta

Today, under the leadership of OBC Morcha President Shri Sunil Yadav, a delegation representing the OBC community met with Delhi Chief Minister Mrs. Rekha Gupta and submitted a 15-point demand memorandum concerning the rights and entitlements of the OBC community.
 
The purpose of this memorandum is to ensure empowerment, fair representation, and equal opportunities for the OBC community in Delhi. The memorandum highlights several issues under the purview of the Delhi government, aiming to strengthen the OBC category at the administrative, educational, and social levels.
 
Among the key demands presented in the memorandum by Shri Sunil Yadav to CM Mrs. Rekha Gupta are:
• Simplification of the 1993 residence criteria to facilitate easier issuance of OBC certificates for long-term Delhi residents.
• Reservation for OBCs in direct recruitment to the Delhi Judicial Services to ensure diversity in the judiciary.
• Raising the upper age limit for women from 30 to 35 years for government appointments to provide them with more opportunities.
• Granting constitutional status to the Delhi OBC Commission.
• Immediate filling of OBC backlog vacancies in government departments.
 
Shri Sunil Yadav expressed confidence that the Delhi government would take positive and prompt action on these demands. The delegation emphasized that these are fundamental issues related to the rights and future of the OBC community. Chief Minister Mrs. Rekha Gupta assured that the government will act swiftly so the OBC community can benefit from welfare schemes.
 
The delegation included prominent members of the community such as Ram Khiladi Yadav, J.P. Tomar, Hansraj, Himanshu Yadav, Shyam Kumar, and Gaurav Baghel, among others.
