UNDER THE ZERO TOLERANCE ON DRUGS, AN INTER-STATE DRUG SYNDICATE BUSTED BY THE TEAM OF ANTI NARCOTICS SQUAD/EAST DISTRICT

  • ONE DRUG PEDDLAR AND HIS BAREILLY, UP BASED SOURCE ARRESTED.
  • TOTAL 167.78 GRAM OF “SMACK” RECOVERED.
The campaign against Substance Abuse is being executed consistently by the Delhi Police to eradicate the drug menace from the society. All efforts are being made to achieve the goal of Drug Free Society.
INCIDENT & INVESTIGATION:
A special drive against drugs is underway in East District to target drug peddlers and its Source etc. A dedicated team from the Anti-Narcotics Squad, East District, comprising of SI Deepak, SI Rahul, SI Sanjeev, ASI Devendra, HC Vivek, HC Amit, HC Pradeep Sharma, HC Amit Kasana, HC Lakhan and HC Harender under the close supervision of Insp. Arun Kumar, I/C Anti-Narcotics Squad East and overall guidance of Sh. Pawan Kumar, ACP/OPS East was constituted to target drug Peddler, Source etc. Accordingly, the ANS staff initiated sincere efforts by sensitizing local informers and collecting human intelligence.
         On the intervening night of 25-26.7.2025, Anti-Narcotics Squad East had received a secret information that one person namely “Raheem” use to sell “Smack” pouches to the drug addicted person in the area of Trilokpuri, Delhi and has been standing with psychotropic substance “Smack” at Near Opposite Dhobhi Sabha, near 19 Block Chauraha, Trilokpuri, Delhi for selling the same. Acting on the information, the ANS team laid a trap at Near Opposite Dhobhi Sabha, near 19 Block Chauraha, Trilokpuri, Delhi and nabbed the said individual namely Raheem R/o 19 Block, Indra Camp Jhuggi, Trilokpuri Delhi Age- 21 Years. On his search, 50.40 Gram of “Smack” was found from him. Subsequently, a case vide FIR No.332/25, Dt. 26.7.25 u/s 21/61/85 NDPS ACT, PS Mayur Vihar, Delhi was registered and investigation was taken up. 
During the investigation, the accused/drug peddlar was arrested. His police custody was obtained from the Honble Court and was detailed interrogated who disclosed to get the said Smack from his Bareilly, UP based Source namely Nadeem Ali R/o Mohalla- Katghar, Village Baqarganj, Near Angoori Masjid Bareilly, UP from Bareilly, UP.
“It was clear that until the source is arrested, the influx of psychotropic substances into Delhi will not stop.”
  Therefore, in order to burst the complete syndicate, the team of ANS was intensely briefed and were directed to immediately trace and arrest the UP based SOURCE “Nadeem Ali”. During the further investigation, on 31.7.2025, after an intense search, the team succeeded to nab the Source/Nadeem Ali R/o Mohalla- Katghar, Village Baqarganj, Near Angoori Masjid Bareilly, UP from Bareilly, UP and further, 117.38 Gram of “SMACK” was recovered from him. Further investigation is underway. 
Motive of the Accused: -
                 During interrogation, accused Raheem disclosed that he had been regularly procuring “Smack” from his source, Nadeem Ali in Bareilly, UP, and selling it to local drug addicts in Trilokpuri, Delhi for profit. His primary motive was financial gain, as he found drug peddling to be a quick source of income despite its illegality. Accused Nadeem Ali, the source, was engaged in supplying psychotropic substances like “Smack” from Bareilly to local peddlers in Delhi as part of an organized inter-state drug syndicate, with the motive of monetary profit through the illegal narcotics trade. Both individuals were motivated by economic benefit, exploiting addiction vulnerabilities in urban areas for personal financial gain.

1. Raheem R/o Trilokpuri Dellhi Age- 21 Years
Education -8th Standard
2. Nadeem Ali R/o Mohalla- Katghar, Village Baqarganj, Near Angoori Masjid Bareilly, UP Age-41 Years
Education -Illiterate
RECOVERY:
167.78 GRAM OF “SMACK”.
