The School of Physiotherapy (SoP) at DPSRU hosted a significant workshop on Stroke Rehabilitation. This workshop was organized for the benefit of BPT 8th semester and MPT students, under the able guidance and kind support of Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Ravichandiran V. and Offg. Registrar Dr. Ramchander Khatri. The event took place at the G.K. Narayanan Auditorium, DPSRU, and was well coordinated by Dr. Sheetal Kalra, Associate Professor & Head, SoP and Dr. Parul Sharma, Assistant Professor, SoP. The workshop was graced by the esteemed presence of faculty members, including Prof. Richa H. Rai, Dr. Savita Tamaria, Dr. Sapna Dhiman, Dr. Jitender Munjal, Dr. Ravinder Kumar, and Dr. Hemlata. A total of 60 students had registered for this highly informative and practical session, which was aimed at enlightening participants on the advancements in stroke rehabilitation.
Objectives of the Workshop
The primary objective of the workshop was to raise awareness about stroke rehabilitation and to provide a comprehensive understanding of the recent advancements in this field. The workshop featured Dr. Jayaprakash Jayavelu, Chief Physiotherapist at Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Gurugram, and Dharamshila Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Delhi, as the keynote speaker. Dr. Jayaprakash Jayavelu, with his extensive experience and expertise in the field, shared invaluable insights into the latest techniques and practices in stroke rehabilitation.
