Celebration on the banks of Yamuna on Hindu New Year

Friends of Yamuna Foundation celebrated Yamuna Utsav and Hindu New Year at ITO Chhath Ghat. Yamuna Aarti was also performed on the banks of the river in the evening. Foundation treasurer Abhishek Ganediwala said that Union Minister Harsh Malhotra attended the event. Everyone enjoyed the bhajans of singer Rahul Chaudhary. Concern was expressed over the current condition of Yamuna in the program. Abhishek said that now BJP government has come to power in Delhi along with the Centre. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had raised the issue of Yamuna loudly before the elections. Now Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also seems serious about the cleanliness of Yamuna. Soon the face of the river will change. Yamuna Parliament convenor Ravi Shankar Tiwari, Swami Nalinananda Giri were welcomed by Foundation CEO Ashok Upadhyay, President Ramesh Gupta, Sanjay Monga, Jagdish Sehgal, Sandeep Jindal and Rakesh Sharma in the program.
