Joint teams of Crime Branch and Dabra City Police Station exposed the robbery incident.

Police arrested the miscreants who looted 14.50 lakhs from a property dealer in broad daylight at gunpoint in Dabra city.

An Apache and a Splendor motorcycle used in the crime, a 315 bore gun, two 315 pistols, 11 rounds of 315 bore and Rs 7 lakh 75 thousand in cash from the looted amount were seized from the arrested miscreants.

Inspector General of Police Gwalior Zone had declared a reward of 30 thousand for the arrest of the unknown accused in the above case.

Brief description of the incident:- Complainant Manohar Kumar Hawlani son Laxman Das Hawlani age 50 years resident Thakur Baba Road near Shanti Garden, Dabra District Gwalior had lodged a report in Dabra City Police Station that on 23.12.2024 at around 04.15 pm he was sitting in his office when four unidentified masked persons came inside my office, all four people had guns, one of those four people pointed a gun at me and took out a total of Rs 14,50,000 kept in the drawer. The miscreants snatched my phone and purse and locked me in the bathroom, after some time I called the people around from the bathroom ventilator and someone opened the bathroom door, then I came out. On the complaint of the complainant, FIR No. 835/24 under Section 311 BNS and 11/13 MPDPK Act was registered against unknown accused in Dabra City Police Station and investigation was taken up. Taking the above incident seriously, Inspector General of Police Gwalior Zone Shri Arvind Kumar Saxena (IPS) had announced a reward of Rs 30,000 for the arrest of the unknown accused wanted in the case.

 

On receiving the information about the sensational incident of robbery of a property businessman in broad daylight in Dabra city, Inspector General of Police Gwalior Zone Shri Arvind Kumar Saxena (IPS) and Superintendent of Police Gwalior Shri Dharmveer Singh (IPS) along with other police officers immediately reached the spot and after inspecting the spot, directed the police officers to collect technical and forensic evidence in the said robbery incident and to trace and arrest all the unknown accused wanted immediately. Along with this, he assured the businessman and local people that the criminals will be caught soon. On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Gwalior, CCTV footage of the crime scene was checked by the police in which five miscreants were seen running away after looting with weapons on two motorcycles. On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Gwalior, Additional Superintendent of Police (East/Traffic/Crime) Shri Krishna Lalchandani (BPS) and Additional Superintendent of Police Rural Shri Niranjan Sharma deployed joint teams of Crime Branch and Thana Dabra City Police to uncover the incident of robbery from a property dealer in broad daylight.

 

In compliance with the instructions of senior officers, half a dozen teams of Crime Branch and Thana Dabra City Police were deployed to uncover the said robbery incident under the able guidance and leadership of ASP Crime Shri Ayush Gupta (BPS), DSP Crime Shri Nagendra Singh Sikarwar and SDOP Dabra Shri Vivek Sharma. A team of police checked the CCTV footage around the crime scene and prepared the route map of the escape of the accused and started searching for the criminals using other technical resources. Yesterday on 27.12.2024, the police received information based on informer's information that the miscreants who looted Dabra city are coming from Datia to Gwalior with two motorcycles to commit some serious crime again. On the said information, the police teams ambushed the Gwalior-Jhansi highway near the Dargah near Chandpur Tiraha and kept an eye on the vehicles coming from Datia. After some time, motorcyclists matching the description given by the informer were seen coming. On seeing the police checking, the miscreants on the motorcycle tried to escape from the spot by returning the bikes, but the police teams standing alert surrounded and caught all the five miscreants along with the motorcycles. On asking the name and address of the arrested criminals, the first one said that he was a resident of Village Lalpur, Police Station Karaira, District Shivpuri, the second one said that he was a resident of Village Hinautiya, Police Station Sinawal, District Datia, currently residing in Village Lalpur, Police Station Karaira, the third one said that he was a resident of Richra Phatak Bahar, Police Station Kotwali, District Datia, the fourth one said that he was a resident of Unao Gate Bahar, Police Station Kotwali, Jhansi and the fifth one said that he was a resident of Unao Gate Bahar, Police Station Kotwali, Jhansi. On searching the three backpacks found with the arrested criminals, one 315 bore gun, two 315 pistols, 11 rounds of 315 bore and Rs. 7 lakh 75 thousand in cash from the looted amount were seized and one Apache and one Splendor motorcycle used in the incident, which were recovered from the criminals on the spot, were also seized. On interrogation, the five told the Dabra city police that they had looted Rs. 14.5 lakh from a property dealer and that the said illegal weapon was with them at the time of committing the robbery and that the said money was obtained from the robbery. The accused caught by the Dabra City Police Station were duly arrested in the said case. The police is interrogating the miscreants regarding the remaining amount looted and their other accomplices and other robbery incidents in the area.

Out of the accused arrested by the police, the accused resident of village Hinautia, Thana Sinawal, District Datia, presently village Lalpur, Thana Karaira, has 07 cases registered against him in Shivpuri district and 02 in Datia, total 09 cases of Arms Act, Excise, Assault, SCST Act registered against him. The accused resident of Richra Phatak Bahar, Thana Kotwali, District Datia has 06 cases registered against him in Datia and 01 case registered against him in Jhansi for attempt to murder, robbery, loot, Arms Act, assault. Earlier also, he had carried out recce to commit robbery with the said property dealer of Dabra city.

 

Recovered goods:- One Apache and one Splendor motorcycle used in the incident, one 315 bore gun, two 315 pistols, 11 rounds of 315 bore and Rs. 07 lakh 75 thousand in cash from the looted amount were seized.
