Police seized 201 kg of illegal doda chura worth Rs 02 lakh from an abandoned car on Sirol Highway

Total of 201 kg of doda chura, a Swift Dzire car without number plate, a mobile phone worth Rs 10 lakh was seized.

On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Gwalior Shri Dharmveer Singh (Bapu Se), effective action is being taken against those who buy and sell illegal weapons, illegal liquor and narcotics in Gwalior district. In this connection, on 11.12.2024, information was received through an informer at night that a white colored Swift Dzire car without number plate was standing locked in an abandoned condition on the side of the road on Sirol Highway under Sirol police station area. Based on the above information, CSP University Ms. Hina Khan directed the police team of Siraul Police Station to verify the information of the informer and take action.

In continuation and guidance of the instructions given by senior officers, the police station in-charge Siraul Inspector Alok Singh Bhadauria sent the police team to the place mentioned by the informer for action. When the police team went to Siraul Highway, they saw a Swift Dzire car without number plate standing in an abandoned condition on the roadside.

The police team searched for the car owner nearby but no one was found. When the police team looked inside the said car through the glass with the help of a torch, some plastic bags (sacks) were seen filled on the seat behind the driver in the car, which seemed to contain some illegal substance. On which the police team broke the glass of the car and unlocked the gate and searched the said car. On the rear seat of the car, a total of 5 black plastic bags (sacks) were found. On opening and checking the trunk of the car, three black plastic bags (sacks) were found in it. Also, a blue colored Redmi Android mobile was found in the trunk under the dashboard of the car.

On opening and checking the total 08 bags found in the car, all the plastic bags were found to be filled with illegal vegetable substance doda chura. On weighing it, the total weight of all the 08 bags was found to be 201 kg and worth Rs. 02 lakh. On which the police team duly seized 201 kg doda chura filled in 08 bags found in the car, Swift Desire car, one mobile. A case of crime number-250/24 section 8/15 NDPS was registered against unknown person in police station Siraul and investigation was taken up. Siraul police is searching for the car owner.
