Massive Fire Breaks Out at Vatva GIDC Factory in Ahmedabad

A massive fire broke out this afternoon around 3:00 PM at a chemical factory located in the Vatva GIDC industrial area of Ahmedabad. The fire spread rapidly, with large flames and thick black smoke engulfing the surroundings, triggering panic among nearby workers and residents. Upon receiving the alert, more than six fire brigade vehicles rushed to the spot and immediately began firefighting operations. Due to the presence of chemical substances inside the factory, the blaze intensified quickly and became difficult to control. Smoke was visible from several kilometers away. Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties so far, though significant property damage is feared. Workers were safely evacuated in time. Initial reports suggest that the fire might have been caused by a short circuit, but official confirmation is still pending. Firefighters are currently working to bring the fire under full control, while police have cordoned off the area to prevent further hazards. An investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the fire. The incident has created a tense atmosphere in the surrounding locality, with residents concerned about safety and air quality.
