Indore- To curb the increasing cyber crimes at present, to bring awareness among the people about it, various programs are being organized continuously by Indore Police under the guidance of Police Commissioner Urban Indore Shri Santosh Kumar Singh. In this sequence, today on 16.11.24, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime Indore along with the police team reached Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Vijay Nagar Indore and made the students aware about cyber crimes.
In a program organized at Prestige Institute of Management and Research under Cyber ??Awareness, Additional DCP Crime Mr. Rajesh Dandotia, while informing about 350 students and staff present in the 329th workshop about the types of current cyber crimes and ways to avoid them, gave them information about various types of cyber fraud, financial fraud and social media related crimes on the basis of case study of complaints of cyber crimes received by the police and explained practically how to complain on cyber helpline-1930, portal cybercrime.gov.in, Indore Police's cyber helpline 7049124445 etc. in case of cyber crime and how the police takes action on them and what things to keep in mind to avoid cyber crimes etc.
He told everyone that at present most of the work and especially banking work has become online, by misusing this, cyber criminals are focusing the most on banking and financial fraud, by luring people with tempting offers and by scaring them, they are doing various financial and digital arrest frauds by trapping them in their net through fake calls and fake links and various new ways. This can be avoided only by being vigilant and aware.
So we should be aware and cautious and do online financial work with full caution, stay away from fake calls and links, be careful on social media and do not share your personal information with anyone.
On this occasion, the staff including the officials of the institute were also present, who also learned the details related to cyber security and appreciated this campaign of Indore Police.
? Under this campaign of Indore Police to make people aware about cyber crimes, if anyone wants to organize a cyber awareness workshop in school/college, institution, unit, colony etc. or wants any information, then he can contact Indore Police on number 7049108197.
