Delhi Police Contingent: 241 PSIs, hailing from various States/UTs, including Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Manipur, and others.
Educational Background: Among the recruited Trainee Sub-Inspectors of Delhi Police, 22 are post graduates, and 29 have B.Tech degrees, while among the 21 PSIs of Andaman & Nicobar Police, 4 are post graduates and 8 are B.Tech graduates.
A grand Passing Out Parade of newly recruited Sub-Inspectors (PSIs) of Delhi Police and Andaman & Nicobar Police was held on 29th October 2024 at Delhi Police Academy, Jharoda Kala, New Delhi. 262 PSIs participated in the parade, of which 21 were from Andaman and Nicobar Police Force. Around 3,000 people attended the event, including family members, guests, trainees and senior officers.
Chief Guest:
The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Shri Rajendra Pal Upadhyay, IPS, Special Commissioner of Police, Special Cell. He took the salute from the marching contingent of trainees. Senior officers included Smt. Chhaya Sharma, Special Commissioner/Training, Shri Asif Mohammad Ali, Joint Director/DPA, and other senior officers and distinguished guests.
Training Program:
During their rigorous training, the PSIs were trained in various fields:
- Academic subjects: Law, Police Procedures, Organization and Administration, Computer Science, Cyber ??Crime, and Police Behaviour.
- Physical Training: Parade, Unarmed Combat, Firing, Anti-Terrorism Measures, Physical Training, and Commando Training (for Delhi Police PSIs). - Special focus in the following areas: Management of terrorism and riot related incidents, PT for physical fitness, sports, yoga & meditation, and gym activities.
Awards and Recognition:
Trophy and certificates were awarded to the best performing PSIs of the batch. SI Neeraj Kakroliya was awarded the “All Round Best” trophy for Batch 53.
Diplomas and Certificates:
PSIs of Delhi Police were awarded Diploma Certificates in Police Administration and Investigation, in collaboration with Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Gujarat. Shri Ajay Rajgor, Associate Administrative Director, RRU administered the oath to all Delhi Police PSIs before awarding them Diploma Certificates.

The oath on the occasion was administered by Shri Mohammad Ali, IPS, Deputy Director, Delhi Police Academy.
Shri Asif Mohammad Ali, IPS, Joint Director, DPA welcomed the Chief Guest Shri Rajendra Pal Upadhyay (IPS), Special Commissioner of Police, Special Cell, and other guests. He congratulated the trainees on the completion of their basic training and emphasized on the use of modern technology. He advised the trainees to follow the ethics, moral values ??and knowledge taught to them during training in their duties.

In his address, Shri Rajendra Pal Upadhyay, IPS praised the successful completion of training and parade of the trainees. He congratulated their families and the officers and instructors of Delhi Police Academy for their dedication. He urged the new officers to maintain the ethics, moral values ??and knowledge acquired during training in their duties.
This grand event marks the successful induction of trained and qualified personnel into Delhi Police and Andaman & Nicobar Police, strengthening their strength with a generation of new and efficient law enforcement officers whose hallmark is discipline.
