Unveiling of five elephant family sculptures - New Delhi MP, Bansuri Swaraj, Chairperson NDMC- Ashwani Kumar and other senior officials were present on the occasion
Vinay Kumar Saxena unveiled five elephant family sculptures at RML Hospital roundabout, New Delhi. The sculpture has been installed by the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) and the intersection has been redeveloped and beautified.

After unveiling the five elephant family sculptures, Vinay Kumar Saxena appreciated the initiative of NDMC for enriching the aesthetic landscape of the city through careful planning. He said that NDMC has thoughtfully installed around 35 sculptures at around 20 locations, including masterpieces like Buddha, marble lions, polo horse, horse family, chariot and many other artifacts at prominent places where a large number of people including tourists visit or pass by every day. In the last two and a half years, hundreds of sculptures and artifacts have been installed across the city of Delhi to enhance the beauty of the city. Mr. Saxena said that the elephant family installed at RML Hospital intersection is another contribution in the efforts to beautify the city.
He said that this work will not only give a pleasant visual experience to the people passing by but will also give a feeling of clean and green environment. The fountains installed here will not only reduce dust particles and air pollution but will also reduce the temperature of the surroundings. He said that the colorful lights along with the fountains installed at the intersections will make these intersections and roadside sculptures even more beautiful at night.

NDMC has redeveloped the 58-metre diameter RML roundabout located opposite Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. The landscape plan envisions transforming the space into a lush, welcoming landscape with well-planned sandstone walkways.
To enhance the functionality and aesthetics of the roundabout here, NDMC has constructed low walls around the walkways, which double up as convenient seating areas. NDMC has made provision for intelligently lighting the area in such a way that the lighting arrangement prioritises providing brightness while ensuring visibility.
At the centre of the redeveloped RML roundabout, NDMC has installed a majestic white stone elephant family at centre stage, surrounded by water channels with fountains all around. The gentle flow of water adds an element of tranquility, making this roundabout not just a traffic intersection but a resting place within the bustling city.
