32 meritorious students of Jabalpur Waqf Board were given scholarship cheques of Rs. 10,000 each.
Jabalpur. For the purpose of promoting education, for the first time in the country, Madhya Pradesh State Waqf Board took a unique initiative by making education policy (Read, Teach and be a partner in nation building). This will give a new direction to the education policy. Under this, under the chairmanship of Madhya Pradesh State Waqf Board Chairman, BJP State Spokesperson and Cabinet Minister rank Dr. Sanwar Patel, on the basis of district level merit, out of the applications received after physical verification, scholarships of Rs. 10,000 each were distributed to their institutes through banking. The scholarships were distributed by the Waqf Committees of Jabalpur district under Madhya Pradesh State Waqf Board in a colourful ceremony of the 148th Foundation Day of Anjuman Islamia Madhatal Jabalpur.
On the occasion of scholarship distribution ceremony, District President of BJP Jabalpur Prabhat Sahu, State Treasurer of BJP Akhilesh Jain, President of Business Cell Sharad Agarwal ji, Senior leader of BJP S.K.Muddin, Member of MP Waqf Board Ahad Ullah Usmani, President of Anjuman Anwar Annu Bhai, Former Councilor Dr. Rizwan Ansari, City President of Minority Front Uwais Ansari, State Vice President of Minority Front Ms. Rozina Qureshi and other speakers described the education policy as a scheme to help the weaker section of the society and called the policy praiseworthy.
President of District Waqf Committee Jabalpur Shamsul Hasan Qamar Ali, President Waqf Graveyard Galgala, Mohd. Arif Khan, President Waqf Jama Masjid Jahangirabad, Anwarul Waheed, President Waqf Dakhni Musafir Khana, Abdul Shafiq Qureshi, President Waqf Jama Masjid and Graveyard Sadar Bazar Jabalpur had a significant contribution in scholarship under the education policy (study, teach and be a partner in nation building).
On this occasion State President of Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board, Dr. Sanwar Patel, in his address, congratulated 30 girl students and 02 boys selected from various categories on the basis of merit for scholarship distribution and encouraged them to move further in the field of education. Mr. Patel also informed that 93 percent of the total income of Waqf properties remains with the respective Mutawallis and Management Committees, to make proper use of this income, Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board has issued a circular to spend 50 percent of the income only on education under the entire state education policy (study, teach and be a partner in nation building). This will prevent the brilliant students of the economically weaker section of the society from dropping out and will bring awareness in the society. The society will be able to cooperate in nation building by getting educated. State President Patel said that for the distribution of scholarships in Jabalpur, applications were duly invited through advertisements in newspapers on 28.09.2024. The last date for which was fixed as 12.10.2024. After that, publicity was also done through pamphlets and social media. In which applications were invited only from the students of class 11th on the basis of marks obtained in class 10th. By adopting a transparent process and after physical verification on the basis of merit, scholarships were provided to 32 candidates through banking for the institute of the students. However, this initiative of Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board is being appreciated across the state.
