In Medical College Datia, under the guidance of Medical Dean Dr. Deepak Singh and under the direction of Medical Superintendent Dr. Arjun Singh, the head of the ophthalmology department Dr. Manoj Tyagi and Dr. Mukesh Singh Rajput saved a patient's almost completely damaged eye by performing an operation using the advanced technology of placental amniotic membrane transplant.

This is the first such advanced operation done in Datia! Generally, advanced technology operations are done in big hospitals like AIIMS, PGI etc.! Giving more information about the operation, Dr. Mukesh Singh Rajput, Associate Professor of Ophthalmology Department, said that the patient's eye was quite damaged, for which a successful surgery was done using the amniotic membrane of the fetus' placenta and the patient's eye was saved! These are new technology operations which are done only in hospitals like AIIMS, the doctors of the medical college have created a pleasant record by doing such an operation in Datia and will try to provide better eye treatment to the people of Datia in future too! Medical's Public Relations Officer Dr. Mukesh Sharma said that the team that did the operation included Dr. Preeti Singh Rajput, Dr. Aarushi, Dr. Harshita, Dr. Abhishek, and staff Jai Shri etc.
