Kurmi Community Rally Demands Justice for MLA Slapping Incident.

           There is a lot of tension in Lakhimpur over the case of slapping Lakhimpur BJP MLA Yogesh Verma. Both factions are active workers of BJP. Today, thousands of people of Kurmi community held a big meeting in Memorial Hall under the banner of Patel Seva Sansthan. FIR and immediate arrest against District Advocates Association President Awadhesh Singh, his wife former Urban Bank President Pushpa Singh and their supporters involved in the fight, suspension of Kotwal Lakhimpur and transfer of SDM and Urban Bank elections were demanded.

           After the meeting, everyone went to the DM office in a queue. They raised slogans and gave a memorandum to SP Ganesh Prasad Shah who arrived on the spot. SP said that many complaints have been received in this case, appropriate action will be taken. Congress District President Prahlad Patel, Vyapar Mandal, Vaishya Samaj, Janata Dal Yes, National Kurmi Mahasangh etc. organization officials and workers were also present in support of the MLA.
