Awareness camp organized in Mental Health Center on World Mental Health Day.

Message to give priority to mental health at workplace.

On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, October 10 an awareness camp was organized on the topic "Priority to Mental Health at Workplace" at Mental Health Center. This camp was organized under the joint aegis of District Legal Services Authority and Mental Health Center under the guidance of Principal District Judge and Chairman District Legal Services Authority Mr. PC Gupta.

In the camp expert speakers provided useful information on the causes of mental health and depression, measures to keep mental health better, and necessary facilities at the workplace. Officials of District Legal Services Authority, Mental Health Center, Indian Medical Association Gwalior, Lions Club and Red Cross participated in this program.

On this occasion District Judge and Secretary District Legal Services Authority Mr. Ashish Dwande said that to maintain good mental health, it is necessary to have a positive and better environment at the workplace. For this, employers and employees should work with each other's cooperation. He told that it is necessary to keep the mind and brain happy to maintain better mental health.

District Legal Aid Officer Mr. Deepak Sharma gave information about Legal Services Scheme 2015 for Mental Patients, NALSA Toll Free Number 15100 and free legal aid available for mental patients.

In the program Dr. Sanjay Laharia, Director of Mental Arogya Shala, elaborated on the importance of World Mental Health Day, the relationship between mental health and workplace, and the need for public awareness on mental health.

Dr. Varsha discussed in detail the theme of World Mental Health Day 2024 "Priority to Mental Health at Workplace" in the program, in which information was given about the causes and symptoms of poor mental health.

Dr. Sakshi gave a presentation on stress and depression management to improve mental health. Indian Medical Association President Dr. Brijesh Singhal, while describing emotional control, positive thinking and spirituality as beneficial for mental health, gave information about the work being done by the World Health Organization for the betterment of mental health.

Indian Medical Association Gwalior Secretary Dr. Snehlata Dubey described the availability of breast feeding and women's toilets for women at the workplace as extremely important for mental health. She said that the lack of these basic facilities in offices can cause mental stress for women.

In the program, Associate Professor Dr. Aman Kishore provided information about the treatment, management of mental patients by Mansik Arogyashala, and the success of Tele Manas facility.

Lions Club President Mr. Rajiv Wadhwani told that he also faced mental problems, but resolved the problem by taking timely treatment from a psychiatrist. He explained the need for mental health and the importance of getting timely treatment.

The program was conducted by Dr. Kritika and the vote of thanks was given by Dr. Abhijeet. On this occasion, Dr. Naval Kishore Shukla, Dr. Anil Dohre from Red Cross Society Gwalior along with doctors of Mental Health School, nursing staff and medical students were present.
