NRAI Successfully Hosts 4th Edition of Food Delivery Summit 2025 in New Delhi

The National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) the voice of the Indian restaurant industry concluded the 4th edition of the NRAI Food Delivery Summit 2025 today at Le Meridien, New Delhi. With the theme “Delivering Fresh Ideas to Fuel Your Food Business”, the summit brought together over 2000+ key stakeholders from across India’s food delivery ecosystem for a day packed with insights, networking, and future-forward thinking.
 
The summit was inaugurated with a lamp lighting ceremony by Ms. Bansuri Swaraj, Hon’ble Member of Parliament. The event was further honoured by the presence of Mr. Shehzad Poonawalla, National Spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party, as distinguished Guests of Honour.
 
The summit that served as a platform for collaboration and ideation brought together top voices from the restaurant industry, cloud kitchen operators, aggregators, delivery partners, and tech entrepreneurs.  The evolving consumer landscape, rising demand for hyper-efficiency, and the urgent need for sustainable delivery models were among the topics discussed.
 
In his opening remarks, Mr. Sagar Daryani, President, NRAI, stated, “The Indian food delivery landscape is undergoing a massive transformation, driven by shifting consumer behaviour and rapid technological adoption. The NRAI Food Delivery Summit is an important platform for aligning all stakeholders, from restaurateurs to tech enablers, around a common vision. To unlock long-term growth, we must now prioritize collaboration, innovation, and standardization. It's not just about reaching customers faster, but also doing so responsibly, transparently, and in a sustainable manner.”
 
He further added, “We are honoured to lead this important industry dialogue and grateful to all stakeholders who participated. Together, we are creating a food service ecosystem that is not only forward-thinking, but also driven by innovation, efficiency, and responsibility. This summit is a significant step toward creating a more unified and progressive food delivery landscape in India.”
 
Commenting on the tireless and consistent efforts of the NRAI, Shezad Poonawalla, National Spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party lauded the NRAI leadership in particular NRAI President, Sagar Daryani and Zorawar Kalra, Vice President NRAI for putting people above profits in times of crisis. He elaborated how NRAI members contributed 1 crore free meals a month during COVID and got all their entire   workforce vaccinated at the instance of Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Modi call to have all staff mandatorily vaccinated in order to operate safely and securely.

The summit featured a dynamic line-up of sessions designed to spark innovation in the food delivery space. A major highlight was the official launch of Coca-Cola Foodmarks 2.0, an initiative that celebrates India’s most iconic culinary destinations. Key sessions included “Tech as a Margin Multiplier”, “Margins That Matter with Reelo”, and Pidge's session on “Winning Alternatives to Aggregator Dependency”. The discussions on “The Last Mile is the Longest” and “Quick Commerce” addressed critical delivery issues. Mister Tikku, Siddharth Jogani, Raghav Joshi, and others spoke about influencer marketing, profitability, and scaling strategies. The Innovation Showcase, Fireside Chats, and networking areas paved the way for future industry growth.
 
Participants additionally addressed how consumer expectations are shifting, particularly in terms of speed, sustainability, transparency, and convenience.  Industry leaders emphasized the significance of digital adoption, data analytics, hyperlocal strategies, and standardized practices in driving long-term profitability.
 
The summit concluded with a strong call to action, urging all players to work together, innovate, and standardize across the board in order to sustain growth and meet changing consumer demands.
