Under Operation Prahar, Vijay Nagar Police Station took another major action against illegal drug smugglers.

• Drug (MD) smuggler arrested by Vijay Nagar Police along with illegal drugs.
• A total of 17.8 grams of narcotic substance (MD) recovered from the accused's possession.

Instructions have been given by Police Commissioner Urban Indore Rakesh Gupta and Additional Police Commissioner Law and Order Urban Indore Amit Singh to stop illegal drug smuggling in the city and to arrest the accused involved in these activities and take effective action against the miscreants. In continuation of the above instructions, Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone-2 Abhinay Vishwakarma gave instructions to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone-2 Amarendra Singh and Assistant Police Commissioner Vijay Nagar Aditya Patel to take action against illegal drugs. On the said instructions, a police team was formed by Vijay Nagar Police Station Incharge Chandrakant Patel to take effective action against drug abuse and illegal drug smugglers in the area and to arrest the accused selling drugs.

During the action, one of the police teams, SI Mahendra Singh Chauhan, along with his team, while visiting the area, reached near the Chausath Yogini Mata Temple near Muktidham behind Sayaji Hotel, where a suspicious person on a blue coloured Activa bearing registration number MP09 EB3685 ran away after seeing the police. On suspicion, he was chased and caught, and on asking his name and address, he told that his name was Rajaram, son of Gendalal Lodhi, resident of New Gauri Nagar, Indore, district Indore. On searching him, narcotic substance smack, total 17.8 grams of narcotic substance (MD), worth Rs. 2,00,000, was found. On returning to the police station, a case under section 8/22 NDPS Act was registered against him and the investigation was taken up. Further interrogation of the accused regarding the narcotic substance is going on.

Mahendra Pratap Singh Chauhan, Sub Inspector Bhupendra Singh Gurjar, PR3316 Pramod Sharma, PR3387 Mukesh Singh Jadoun, R3642 Kapil Sonaniya, R2218 Lokendra Singh Khinchi, R282 Radheshyam Rathore, R409 Yogendra Gurjar played an important role.
