Keeping in view the upcoming festivals like Navratri, Dussehra, Garba Mahotsav and other programs, peace committee meetings are being organized in all the urban and rural police stations of the district.

Physical inspection of the venue of the upcoming festival (statue site, Bhandara etc.) is being done from the security point of view.

Keeping in view the upcoming festivals, the Superintendent of Police Ujjain has directed the Sub-Divisional Police Officer and Police Station In-charge of the district to hold a peace committee meeting in the premises.

In the presence of all the Sub-Divisional Officers and Police Station In-charges of the district, keeping in view the upcoming festivals like Navratri, Dussehra and other programs like the organized Garba Mahotsav, peace committee meetings are being organized in the district at the headquarters, section and police station, outpost level. In the organized peace committee meeting, the program organizers, committee members are being made aware of the guidelines issued by the government. Information is being collected regarding the venue, idols from the point of view of security arrangements. The organizers and members are being asked by the committee to celebrate the festival peacefully. After listening to the necessary suggestions of the committee members, assurance is being given to implement them. The organizers are being appealed to immediately inform the police (concerned police station, dial 100 or police control room) in case of any kind of misleading news being circulated on social media, do not take any decision on your own in this regard. Along with this, the DJ operator is being appealed to play the sound system only at the time and decibel prescribed by the government. Action will be taken if objectionable or provocative songs are not played inappropriately. Peace committee meetings are being organized at the headquarters, section, police station, outpost level of the district.

Necessary arrangements are also being made by the police by coordinating with the Nagar Palika, Nagar Panchayat, Gram Panchayat, Electricity Department and the concerned department. Administrative and police officers, police station in-charge, peace committee members along with the festival organizing committee chairman and members, journalists, and eminent citizens of the urban and rural areas of the region were present in the meeting.
