Pawan Paruthi - Gwalior
Collector Mrs. Ruchika Chauhan on Saturday inspected the arrangements of the temporary reservoir built in front of Sagartal for immersion of large and medium idols of Lord Shri Ganesha. By 6 pm on Saturday, i.e. Dol Gyaras, about 350 small and big idols of Lord Ganesha had been immersed. Collector Mrs. Chauhan during this time directed to further enhance the lighting arrangements around the temporary reservoir premises. Also, separate queues should be made for immersion of large and small idols, so that immersion can be done in an orderly manner. On this occasion, Superintendent of Police Mr. Rakesh Kumar Sagar, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr. Aman Vaishnav, Joint Collector Mr. Sanjeev Jain and SDM Mr. Atul Singh along with other concerned officials were present.
Collector Mrs. Chauhan also directed to increase the barricading around the immersion site, so that the devotees can reach the reservoir and immerse the idols in a convenient manner. She also instructed to pay special attention to the traffic system on the main routes of Shri Ganesh idol immersion. She also said that if needed, traffic can also be diverted. During the inspection of the temporary reservoir, Collector Mrs. Chauhan said that on the day of Anant Chaturdashi, additional police force including women police should be deployed at the temporary reservoir.
There should be no shortage of water for immersion of idols in the temporary reservoir built in front of Sagartal. For this, water is being continuously filled by pump. Along with this, water is also being filled in the reservoir through tankers.
Katorataal, the immersion site of small idols, was also inspected.
A small pond has been built at the corner of Katorataal for immersion of small idols of Lord Ganesha in the city. Collector Mrs. Ruchika Chauhan reached Katorataal on Saturday and saw the arrangements for immersion of idols.
