TWO DESPERATE SNATCHERS ARRESTED BY PS NEW ASHOK NAGAR STAFF: A MOTORCYCLE AND THREE MOBILE PHONES RECOVERED

INCIDENT:-
On 10/09/24, HC Amreesh & Ct Sachin were performing beat patrols in the Vasundhra Enclave area due to the increasing incidents of snatching and burglary. During their patrol, as they approached Samrat Apartment in Vasundhra Enclave, they observed a high-speed motorcycle coming from Plaza Market Dallupura towards Ram Mandir, E-Block, New Ashok Nagar. The motorcycle lacked the front number plate. Noticing this, the officers signalled the riders to stop; however, instead of complying, the riders turned back and attempted to flee. The officers pursued them and successfully apprehended both riders.
Upon their cursory search, three mobile phones and an illegal button-actuated knife were recovered from their possession. The motorcycle. UP14DX8846 was found stolen from PS Farsh Bazaarvide e-FIR No. 026990/24 u/s 303(2) BNS. The apprehended persons were identified as (1). Ganesh@Chota Tara R/o East Vinod Nagar, Delhi age 22 years (2). Mohd Shadab R/o Khichripur, Delhi age 25 years. Two of the recovered mobile phones were found snatched vide FIR Nos. 452/24 u/s 304(2) BNS & 454/24 u/s 304(2) BNS, PS PIA. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 404/24 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act & 3(5) BNS was registered at PS New Ashok Nagar. Further investigation is underway.
