TWO REWARDED “PROCLAIMED OFFENDER” WANTED IN A CHEATING CASE OF PS EOW, DELHI ARRESTED BY CRIME BRANCH

 

•A REWARD OF RS.25000/- EACH WAS DECLARED ON THEIR ARREST.

• ACCUSED PERSONS SIPHONED OFF ABOUT 7 CRORES OF HARD-EARNED MONEY FROM 200 PEOPLE.

 

INTRODUCTION:

A team of NR-II, Crime Branch has worked out a case of Cheating of EOW/Delhi registered vide FIR No.141/21 u/s 406/420/120B IPC, PS EOW, Delhi with the arrest of 02 wanted accused/proclaimed offender. 

GIST OF INCIDENT:

The above-mentioned case was registered on the complaint of residents of Goyla Dairy, Delhi against accused persons Ravinder Kumar Pandey and his son Prasun Pandey for siphoning off hard earned money and cheating of approx. 7 Crore from the 200 residents of Goyla Dairy as they used to deposit their money with them to get double interest of rate. After that both of them fled away after disposing off their movable property from Goyla Dairy and switched off their mobile phones. 

INFORMATION AND OPERATION:

A Team of NR-II focused on Proclaimed Offender/Rewarded criminals and in this process a team headed by Insp. Neeraj Kumar Sharma and under the supervision of ACP Sh. Narender Singh was deputed by the undersigned to focus on this case. HC Naveen Kumar and Ct. Krishan along with ASI Pradeep Godara were deputed for technical assistance. HC Naveen received information about one absconded criminal in Pune and this information was further developed with technical assistance of ASI Pradeep Godara and it was discovered that the wanted criminal namely Prasun Pandey who had been declared proclaimed offender from the Ld. court vide order dated 03.02.2023 in case FIR No. 141/21 u/s 420/406/120B IPC PS EOW, Delhi had taken shelter somewhere in Pune, Maharashtra.

 

          After collecting information of relevant mobile numbers, a team under the supervision of Insp. Neeraj Kumar Sharma consisting ASI Pritam Chand, HC Naveen, HC Ravinder and Ct. Krishan had departed to Pune Maharashtra. The team reached Pune and started working on locating the location of accused person. Finally, the location of the absconder Prasun Pandey was traced in the area of PS Lonikand, Pune and he was apprehended from his rented accommodation from Pristine City, Phase-1, Bakori, PS Lonikand, Pune. 

 

On interrogation, accused Prasun Pandey disclosed the hide outs of his father/co-accused Ravinder Kumar Pandey in Lucknow and on this tip a team consisting SI Sachin Dabas, HC Naveen, HC Vikas Dabas and Ct. Krishan departed to Lucknow and through technical assistance of ASI Pradeep Godara and manual input of Ct. Krishan, the accused got identified in the area of Sardauna, Lucknow and team apprehended him.

 

INTERROGATION:

During Interrogation accused Ravinder Kumar Pandey disclosed that he along with his family resided in the area of Goyla Dairy, Delhi. He started a business of finance and wanted to earn money in short time, hence, started to cheat people on the pretext of doubling money through chit fund and committee in short period. He lured about more than 200 people and cheated about 7-8 Crore rupees. His son Prasun Pandey also help him in this crime. They identified the persons who have a handsome money in hand through sale of plots etc. They returned some amount in starting period and when they collected a handsome amount, sold theirin movable property and fled from Delhi and also destroyed their mobile SIMs. Initially, they went to Noida but traced by some victims, hence again left the station and moved to Pune. They changed their rented address frequently so that couldn’t be traced. Accused invested the money in land near Lucknow at his birth place. 

PROFILE OF ACCUSED:

Accused Ravinder Kumar Pandey was born in Lucknow and came to Delhi after study in search of job and started petty business for livelihood. He has two sons, his one son accused Prasun Pandey (33 years) has completed BBA. Accused Ravinder Kumar Pandey was also arrested in Gangster Act in UP where he was assisting his associates who were criminals. In 2017 he and his both sons were arrested in a case of hurt/manhandling in the area PS Chhawla, Delhi.

 

PREVIOUS INVOLMENTS:

Accused Ravinder Kumar Pandey was previously involved in 02 cases and accused Prasun Pandey was previously involved in 01 case.
