Union Minister Shri Scindia will inaugurate the district level MP sports competition

Madhya Pradesh Pavan Paruthi Energy Minister Shri Tomar reviewed the preparations by holding a meeting and said that together we should organize excellent events. Competitions will be held from 3rd to 6th February, till now more than 1600 players have registered.

Gwalior 02 February 2024/ District level MP (Rajya Sabha) sports competition will be grandly inaugurated on 3 February at Phulbagh ground. Union Civil Aviation and Steel Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia will inaugurate the competition at around 12 noon. Before this, cultural programs will take place from 11 am. These competitions will be held from 3rd to 6th February. The award distribution ceremony will be held on 6th February. So far, 1660 players have been nominated to participate in eight different sports disciplines in the competition. It is known that players in the age group of 16 to 25 years will participate in the competition.
Energy Minister Shri Pradyuman Singh Tomar on Friday reviewed the preparations by holding a meeting of public representatives, senior officials and members of committees related to organizing the competition. On this occasion, he said that everyone should come together to conduct this sports competition with grandeur and excellent arrangements.
In the meeting held at Bal Bhawan here, MLA Mr. Mohan Singh Rathore, Seed Corporation Chairman Mr. Munnalal Goyal, Municipal Corporation Chairman Mr. Manoj Tomar, BJP District President Mr. Abhay Chaudhary and former MLA Mr. Ramesh Aggarwal along with other public representatives and Collector Mr. Akshay Kumar Singh were present. , Additional Collector Mr. TN Singh, Additional Commissioner Municipal Corporation Mr. Vijay Raj and District Sports Officer Mr. Joseph Baksala and other concerned officials were present.
Energy Minister Shri Tomar said that national and international level players who are bringing glory to Gwalior will be honored in the district level MP competition. On the occasion of the inauguration of the competition, he must invite the public representatives as well as players associated with various sports disciplines and social organizations of the city. He gave instructions to the Chief Medical and Health Officer to deploy the health department team including ambulance and doctors during the entire competition. Similarly, he also asked for making police arrangements.
Energy Minister Shri Tomar directed to honor the winner, runner-up and third place players by giving them shields and cash prizes along with certificates to all the players coming to participate in the competition. He said that t-shirts will be provided to all the players participating in the competition. Besides, arrangements for cash prizes will also be made by them.
Collector Shri Singh informed in the meeting that players from all the 6 assembly constituencies of the district will participate in the competition. Vehicle arrangements have also been made in every development block for the transportation of players. The responsibility of providing drinking water and other basic arrangements at the venue has been handed over to various officials.
District Sports Officer Shri Baksala informed in the meeting that players of sports disciplines like Kho-Kho, Tug of War, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Sitauliya, Power Lifting, Long Jump and Shot Throw etc. are participating in the competition. Efforts are also being made to organize a wrestling competition.
