Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who reached Gwalior on a two-day visit, interacted with the press at the newly built airport in Gwalior as soon as he reached the city. Talking about the new gift to Gwalior – 6 lane Agra – Gwalior National High-Speed ​​Corridor, Scindia thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and said that yesterday, the Union Cabinet has approved this project of Rs 4,613 crore for Gwalior in the cabinet meeting.

6 lanes will be completed in 2.5 years, and travel time from Gwalior to Agra will be reduced by about 50%.

Giving information about the 6 lane corridor, he said that this corridor will be built for Rs 4,613 crore and 8 bridges and 6 flyovers will be built in this 88 km long 6 lane corridor. He said that our target is to complete this project in about 2.5 years.

It will be connected to many national highways, and employment and business will get a big benefit.

Scindia said that for 4 years, I dreamed that we should give an expressway to Gwalior. I requested Nitin Gadkari ji for this and he has made the impossible possible and has given this gift to the people of Gwalior. This 6-lane will connect to NH19 in Agra, Porbandar in Gwalior – Gwalior – Silchar East-West Corridor (NH27) and will increase traffic from main tourist places like Gwalior Fort, Agra Fort and Taj Mahal (Agra).

We are developing schemes worth more than Rs 10,000 crore for the development of Gwalior.

Talking about the development projects going on in the city, Minister Scindia said that the BJP government has built Gwalior airport worth Rs 500 crore, a railway station worth Rs 500 crore is being built, and an elevated road is being constructed for Rs 1600 crore. Along with this, we are making the Morar River clean, work has also started on the plan to bring water from Chambal. We will once again strengthen Gwalior with schemes worth more than Rs 10 thousand crores. Along with this, the Atal Expressway worth Rs 11 thousand crores is being built. That is 21 thousand crores, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi says, this is the time, the right time! So Gwalior is now getting ready to become a substitute city for Delhi.
