Keeping in mind the call for Bharat Bandh on Wednesday, August 21 by some organizations, the district administration and police have made strong preparations to maintain law and order. Police will deal strictly with those who forcefully close shops, establishments, and markets. It has also been clarified that persons of any organization will not be able to carry sticks or any weapons and inflammable substances during this movement. Collector Mrs. Ruchika Chauhan and Superintendent of Police Mr. Dharamveer Singh held a meeting of all the SDMs, CSPs, and SDOPs of the district on Tuesday and gave necessary guidelines. Also said that revenue and police officers should discharge their responsibilities with full vigilance and promptness.

It was clarified in the meeting that on Wednesday, 21st August, the adequate police force will be deployed at all the intersections, markets, and roads of Gwalior city including Collectorate, Phoolbagh Square, Jhalkari Bai Park, and Gol Pahadiya. Police will take strict action against those who dare to create disturbance. Apart from Gwalior city, the administration and police force will be deployed with full alertness in all areas of the district including Dabra, Bhitarwar, Pichore, Ghatigaon, Mohana, and Murar rural.

The Collector and Superintendent of Police clarified that as a precaution, police will also accompany the movement of persons of any organization associated with the call for bandh in the rural or urban area of ​​the district. Along with this, every activity will also be videographed and photographed closely. In the meeting, the Collector and Superintendent of Police also instructed all SDMs and representatives to keep constant communication with the representatives of the organizations calling for bandh. Tell them clearly that if any person in the organization violates law and order during the bandh, then they will be held accountable for it. The two officers said that a list of volunteers should also be obtained from all the concerned organizations. These volunteers will be responsible for maintaining law and order and peaceful events. It was also made clear in the meeting that action will be taken under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code 2023 against those who upload and forward misleading and objectionable inflammatory messages or audio videos on social media platforms.

In the meeting held in the auditorium of the Collectorate, Additional Collector Mrs. Anju Arun Kumar, ADM Mr. TN Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police Mr. Siyaz KM, and Mr. Gajendra Vardhman, all SDMs, CSPs, and SDOPs of the district were present. SDMs and SDOPs of Dabra, Bhitarwar, Ghatigaon, and Murar Rural attended the meeting through video conferencing.
