The biggest railway station in the district is Meghnagar. Most of the long-distance trains have a stoppage of only one or two minutes. Their stoppage time needs to be increased. Both Ratlam Junction and Dahod stations are quite far from Jhabua district.
In such a situation, passengers travel by train from Meghnagar railway station to reach their destination. But due to the lack of many types of facilities, passengers have to face a lot of problems.

- Whereas on platform number one, only one tap gives out cold water. On the other hand, hot water comes out of other taps due to heat, so people have to buy drinking water.

Up-downer passengers and other passengers who travel daily from Ratlam to Meghnagar train said that the water coming out of the taps installed at the railway station is hot, which makes it difficult to drink. A water cooler was installed on platform number two, but due to a lack of electricity connection, only hot water came out of the tap.
When journalists talked to the station master, he said that the water cooler had been started soon. In this scorching heat, passengers have started getting the facility of cold water by the railway.
Every year, a social organization has been making arrangements to provide cold water to the passengers at the railway station on the Meghnagar platform, but this year it was not done. The passengers arriving by train from the district are always troubled by water.
Along with this, passengers of trains arriving from long distances can also be seen running to the station for cold water, due to which there is a fear of accidents!

The Firozpur Mumbai Janta Express train should be restarted and weekly trains need a stoppage at Meghnagar.
The Firozpur Janta Express which was closed during the lockdown should be restarted for the convenience of passengers. Also, the Bandra Udaipur train and the Ahmedabad Gorakhpur train which passes daily at 1.35 in the afternoon should be given a stoppage at Meghnagar and the Ratlam Ajmer train should be extended till Meghnagar. Also, Jhansi Bandra Express train no. 22195/22196 and 02199/02200, Ajmer Arunachalam Express train no. 12977/12978, train no. Trains like 22901/22902, Gujarat Sampark Kranti 22913, Muzaffarpur Express 19053, Ramnagar Bandra Express 22975, Viragna Express 22196, Gorakhpur 19489, Hazrat Nizamuddin 20945, etc. should have stoppage at Meghnagar railway station.
Meghnagar station will be given a beautiful look on the lines of Amrit Bharat Yojana and all facilities will be provided.
■ As per the norms of the railways, one water cooler has been installed on each of the two platforms. Which are checked daily. The water cooler of platform number two has also been started, while under Amrit Bharat Yojana, the work of installing coach display on all three platforms is almost done. It will be started after its completion. And anyway, Meghnagar station will be given a beautiful look on the lines of an airport under Amrit Bharat Yojana and all facilities will be provided.
