Due to stone pelting on the Delhi Mumbai 8-lane Express Highway between Thandla and Ratlam, Ratlam District Superintendent of Police Rahul Lodha and Jhabua District Superintendent of Police Agam Jain, along with officials of the National Highway Authority, inspected the spot and the villages lying between this route. I had a positive conversation with the Sarpanch, Tadvi, and prominent citizens of the village, public representatives, and media regarding the safety of stone pelting and other accidents on 8 lanes.

During this, a large number of villagers, public representatives, and media persons present openly expressed their suggestions and asked the officials of the NHI Authority to increase road safety and security guards and to provide employment to the local people.
He also talked about installing nets on the eight overbridges built on this route for safety reasons. He said that when toll is being collected from the passengers, they should also be given security, otherwise the road should be closed until full traffic starts on this route.

Traffic on the Delhi-Mumbai Express Highway has started only for about 200 km from Dahod to Ratlam Javra.

In such a situation, accidents have started happening every day.

While mischievous elements are pelting stones on this route, passengers are losing their lives due to overspeeding due to leaving the route early. District Jhabua Superintendent of Police Agam Jain and Ratlam Superintendent of Police Rahul Lodha together inspected the opportunity to find a solution to the problem and discussed it with the villagers. They also addressed the media and said that strict action should be taken against such mischievous elements through CCTV footage and that strict security arrangements should be made. Said about.

He said that action will be taken against more than 120 speeding vehicles through a speed meter. NHI DGM Technical Sandeep Patidar also talked about increasing the security and monitoring through cameras for the safety of passengers on 8 lanes and assured efforts to eliminate them by keeping the higher officials informed on every aspect of the accidents. On the allegation of villagers not providing employment to the company even after asking them to provide employment, Patidar said that in the past, the company had also promised to provide employment to the local people, and in the coming time, local people will also be given employment on security staff and other recruitments.

Efforts will be made to give them priority. It is worth noting that Ratlam Jhabua regional MP Guman Singh started efforts to start the express highway as soon as it was built on the Madhya Pradesh border. In such a situation, NHI also started the route by determining the toll on the basis of Ratlam Dahod construction and imposing a heavy toll.

But currently, their security arrangements are inadequate; hence, traveling through this route is a bit risky. To deal with such situations, it is expected that in the coming times, these joint efforts of the police, administration, RTO, and NHI will provide better security to the passengers.
