Surya Roshni (Lighting Division) achieved recognition by clinching the Five Gold Awards*

Surya Roshni Limited’s lighting plant in Kashipur achieved significant recognition by clinching the esteemed ‘Best Kaizen Award’ and Five Gold Awards during the Kaizen competition.

This was organized by the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI), Rudrapur Sub Chapter, where Surya proudly took home the ‘Best kaizen award’ along with an impressive 5 Gold Awards. With a remarkable 100% success rate, all 6 projects showcased excellence and innovation, earning the highest recognition. The Projects in the field of conventional and LED manufacturing, were focused on Productivity, Quality and Safety improvements with focus on Sustainability and Customer Satisfaction.

QCFI is renowned for championing the Quality Circle Movement in India and has represented the nation at various global platforms. This noteworthy event attracts participants from diverse sectors and educational institutions, where they demonstrate exemplary practices aligned with the six-sigma quality approach. Exceptional teams are honored, showcasing their potential to excel on the international stage. The event, held on June 3rd, 2024, serves as a testament to the commitment and excellence of participating entities.

Since its inception in 1973, Surya Roshni has transformed into an organization that has developed its Lighting & Consumer Durables business and built a stronghold in the Steel Pipes & Strips business. The company started with the manufacturing of steel tubes in 1973, it then diversified by foraying into Lighting in 1984, PVC pipes in 2010 and Consumer Durables like Fans and Home Appliances in 2014-15.

The Consumer Durable business offers a variety of Fans and Home Appliances.
