After making headlines due to newspapers and channels, action to set up a treatment plant has started.
CETP (Water Treatment Plant) will soon be operational in the industrial area of Meghnagar. The chemical factories and CETP (Water Treatment Plant) under the industrial area of Meghnagar were inspected by SDM Mukesh Soni along with the officials of the Pollution Control Board and MPIDC.
The polluted water from these units goes into the Garia drain from where it further reaches the Anas river and pollutes the river water. Due to this the drinking water supply of Meghnagar has to be stopped. The aware journalists of the media raised this problem. Due to this continuous efforts were made by District Collector Neha Meena to solve the problem, due to which work is being started towards making the CETP plant established in the industrial area operational.
The Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board has issued an NOC to start the plant. Now the contaminated water from the chemical factory is to be transported to the CETP plant and the treatment plant is to be started, which is likely to start this week. During this process, on the instructions of the Collector, SDM, Pollution Board and MPIDC officials are inspecting for further action.
Madhya Pradesh Udyog Vikas Nigam has issued a letter to all chemical factories informing them to start action to send the polluted water of their units to the CETP plant.
