Rotary Club of Delhi Rajdhani, a distinguished non-profit service organization, commenced its new Rotary year with an Installation Ceremony held at The Oberoi, New Delhi. The event marked the oath-taking of Rajiv Mittal as the President for the term 2024-25, in the presence of esteemed guests including Chief Guest Smriti Irani, Director General, DG, DGE, DGN, PDG, and other distinguished personalities. The club received accolades from television actress, female politician, and former Minister of Women and Child Development, Smriti Zubin Irani, who expressed her willingness to support and contribute to the club’s future initiatives.
Founded in 1984, the Rotary Club of Delhi Rajdhani is an integral part of the global Rotary movement, which traces its roots back 119 years to its inception in February 1905 in Chicago. Under the umbrella of Rotary International, District 3011 oversees approximately 135 clubs in the Delhi NCR region, led by District Governor Rtn. Mahesh Trikha. Embodying the motto “Service Above Self,” the club undertakes a wide array of community service projects, including blood donation camps, sanitary pad distributions, handwash programs in schools, health camps, educational initiatives for girls, and skill development programs. Beyond its membership, the Rotary Club of Delhi Rajdhani functions as a close-knit family actively engaged in service projects aimed at enhancing lives and communities from inception.

President Rajiv Mittal, supported by his spouse Vaishali Mittal, brings significant enthusiasm and dedication to his role, focusing on uplifting underprivileged segments of society. The recent establishment of RCDR Pink Wing underscores the club’s commitment to women’s empowerment through image enhancement, networking, confidence-building, and skill development initiatives. Looking ahead to the 2024-25 term, the club aims to distribute 1000 Rotary Akshat boxes and expand environmental sustainability efforts, exemplified by the introduction of paper cups during the installation ceremony to promote awareness against plastic usage and advocate tree planting.

Further enhancing its outreach, the club plans to launch its theme song on the foundation day celebration on August 2, aimed at inspiring collective engagement towards community welfare.
As the new Rotary year begins, the Rotary Club of Delhi Rajdhani remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering positive change and improving the lives of the underprivileged, under the leadership of Director General Mahesh Trikha and the collective efforts of its dedicated members.
