Organ Donation and Transplant Coordination Committee Concludes Month-Long “Angdaan Jan Jagrukta Abhiyaan”The Organ Donation and Transplant Coordination Committee concluded its month-long "Angdaan Jan Jagrukta Abhiyaan," raising awareness about organ donation and its importance.

The Organ Donation and Transplant Coordination Committee (ODTCC) successfully concluded its month-long “Angdaan Jan Jagrukta Abhiyaan” (Public Awareness Campaign) with a series of events aimed at promoting organ donation awareness.

Key highlights of the campaign:

Donor families were honored by the Medical Superintendent in a special felicitation ceremony. Educational sessions were conducted on various transplant procedures:

Bone transplant, Renal transplant, Cornea transplant, Heart transplant, and Skin bank. MBBS students performed a “nukkad natak” (street play) to raise awareness. Residents, students, nurses, staff, and security personnel attended informative sessions. A quiz competition was organized to test and improve knowledge on organ donation. On the final day, judges, winners, and participants of various events were felicitated. The campaign successfully engaged medical professionals, students, and the general public, fostering a greater understanding of organ donation and its life-saving potential.

The Medical Superintendent Dr Vandana Talwar congratulated ODTCC Team for the successful event. This initiative has significantly increased public understanding of the importance of organ donation. The culmination ceremony celebrated the hard work of our team and the positive response from the community. We hope this campaign will lead to an increase in organ donation pledges and save many lives in the future. She further informed me about the successful completion of 4 cadaveric donation which happened in the last six months benefitting multiple recipients.
