Under the benign guidance of Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj and Nirankari Rajpita Ji, the Sant Nirankari Mission launched the ‘Oneness One’ Mega Tree Plantation Project in 2021 to conserve the environment. The project aims to plant and maintain ‘mini-forests’ by planting and taking care of a ‘cluster of trees‘.
Sharing the information, Sant Nirankari Mandal Secretary Honorable Shri Joginder Sukhija Ji said that under the first phase of the ‘Oneness One‘ project held in 2021, about one and a half lakh trees were planted all over India. With the same enthusiasm with which these trees were planted by the Nirankari devotees, they were also taken care of continuously throughout the year. As a result, this ‘group of trees‘ expanded so much that it is now appearing as a ‘mini forest‘. The presence of migratory and rare species of birds is also being seen on this ‘group of trees‘, which had almost ceased to exist. Undoubtedly, all these organisms are of great importance in the balance of nature.
In 2022 too, the second phase of the ‘Oneness One‘ project was organized with great enthusiasm, in which the number of trees increased to close to 2 lakhs. After that, their number is increasing continuously year after year and as a result, now about 2.50 lakh trees have been planted, which are also being taken care of continuously. To ensure these trees stay fruitful and nourished by the Mission, they are being planted according to the local climate and geographical environment, in which good organic manure, clean water and the latest irrigation techniques are used for their protection and growth so that they can be fully developed.
To implement this project as a necessary initiative for social welfare, the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation is starting the services of the fourth phase of this campaign by adding many new places in both rural and urban areas on Sunday, August 11, as a ‘Massive Tree Plantation Campaign‘ in more than 600 places across India. In this, all the followers and volunteers of the mission will plant about 10 lakh trees and play their important role, they will also take care of these trees for three to five years so that they can flourish as a ‘mini forest‘ like the first phase.
This initiative highlights the importance of trees for clean air and environmental balance, a lesson underscored by the 2020 COVID-19 crisis, Prana Vayu i.e. oxygen, for which the existence of these trees is very important because the effect of more number of these trees will not only save the surrounding environment from being polluted but the local temperature will also be controlled. The Nirankari Mission has been playing an important role in ‘environment protection‘ and beautifying the earth by implementing such welfare schemes from time to time.
