In a heartwarming initiative, volunteers, students, and faculty from Miranda House came together to plant 100 saplings, contributing to the ongoing ‘Oneness One‘ project led by the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation, the social arm of the Sant Nirankari Mission. The event was graced by the presence of Sant Nirankari Mandal Secretary, Joginder Sukhija, and Miranda House College Principal, Prof. Bijaylakshmi Nanda, who presided over the program.

Under the benign guidance of Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj and Sant Nirankari Rajpita Ji, the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation launched the ‘Oneness’ project in 2021 with a mission to safeguard the environment. This initiative aims to cultivate clusters of trees, nurturing them into thriving miniature forests that grow more vibrant with each passing year. The fourth phase of this green movement was passionately carried out on August 11th, spanning over 600 locations across India.

It’s worth highlighting that the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation has consistently been a key player in environmental conservation and beautification efforts, collaborating closely with government bodies committed to preserving our natural heritage. The youth of Miranda House College have been particularly instrumental in these social welfare initiatives. Alongside students from various universities, they have actively participated in water conservation campaigns like the Amrit Project and, today made a significant impact in the Oneness One Project as well.

We all understand the invaluable role that trees play in our lives. They not only supply us with essential oxygen but also help mitigate pollution by regulating the local climate. This makes it our collective responsibility to protect and preserve them. The Nirankari Mission is actively fulfilling this duty, consistently implementing various welfare projects aimed at safeguarding our natural environment—a critical need in today’s world.
