Legal awareness camp organized at Nalanda Institute of Professional Studies.

Gulshan Paruthi | Gwalior | Under the guidance of Principal District Judge and Chairman District Legal Services Authority Gwalior Shri PC Gupta, a legal literacy camp was organized at Nalanda Institute, Bhind Road, Gwalior under the joint aegis of District Legal Services Authority Gwalior and Nalanda Institute of Professional Studies.

District Judge and Special Judge POCSO Act, Mrs. Vandana Raj Pandey, as the chief guest in the Legal Literacy Camp, provided detailed information regarding the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act, 2012, in the cases of children victims of POCSO Act, by the Special Court. He also threw light on the process of trial and called upon the children present to follow their fundamental duties. Secretary District Legal Services Authority Mr. Ashish Dawande provided information about laws like Free Legal Aid, Motor Vehicle Act etc. and gave Panch Pran to the group present. Taking the pledge, he asked to cooperate in realizing the concept of a developed India by 2047. He also expressed that it is more important to obey the laws than it is to know the laws. In the program, Judicial Magistrate Mr. Mohit Parsai informed about Madhya Pradesh Crime Victim Compensation Scheme 2015 and the guidelines given by the Honorable Supreme Court regarding acid attack victims in the case of Lakshmi vs Union of India.

The program was conducted by District Legal Aid Officer Mr. Deepak Sharma and vote of thanks was expressed by Mr. Yogendra Singh Bhadauria, Director of Nalanda Institute of Professional Studies. On this occasion, Mrs. Sandhya Singh, Mrs. Munabbar Qureshi, Mr. Ajit Singh Bhadauria, Mr. Anurag Verma, Mr. D. Advocates like R. Mahour, Mrs. Premlata Singh, social workers like Mr. Devendra Sharma, Dinesh Singh, Mr. Sachin Prajapati, Dev Krishna Sikarwar and other intelligent citizens were present.
