Complainants will not have to worry, cyber complaints will be resolved at the nearest police station.

Cyber desk started in all the police stations of Urban Zone-1 of Indore Police.

Cyber Desk was formed to defeat the efforts of cyber criminals.

Nodal officers of police stations were trained by giving cyber related training by giving lectures by senior officers.

Gulshan Paruthi | Indore | The increasing number of cyber crimes in the city is a matter of concern. Crimes like online fraud, banking fraud, making objectionable pictures and movies viral on social media and data theft are increasing day by day. Along with this, incidents like loss of people’s money due to fake websites and personal information being made public by cyber criminals every day are included.

Keeping in view the increasing number of cyber crimes in Indore urban area and the prevention of cyber crimes and the problems caused to the general public due to cyber crimes, Police Commissioner, Urban Indore Shri Rakesh Gupta and Additional Commissioner of Police (Law/Order) Indore Shri Amit Singh. Understanding the plight of the applicants, instructions were given that the applicants suffering from cyber crime should not have to wander here and there and legal action should be taken immediately on the complaint. In compliance with the above instructions, Shri Vinod Kumar Meena, Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone-01, appointed Cyber Nodal Officers in all the police stations of Zone-01 and started Cyber Desk by appointing Shri Alok Kumar Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone-01 Indore as Cyber Nodal Officers and Assistants. Instructions were given for technical training of cyber nodal officers. Following which, Cyber Nodal Officers in all the police stations of Zone-01 were trained by Mr. Alok Kumar Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone-01 Indore by giving lectures on Cyber Crime Investigation, social media, CDR, IPDR & NCR portal.

Complainants can register their complaint at the police station in case of all types of cyber crime related complaints like online, KYC, matrimonial, fraud related to OTP, fraud related to social media and any other type of cyber related fraud. Cyber complaints will be received by the Cyber Nodal Officer posted at the police station and will be reported on the NCRP Portal and advance action will be taken, so that immediate assistance can be provided to the complainants coming to the police stations.

Complaints will be lodged by Cyber Desk on Cyber Help Line 1930 and National Cyber Crime Report Portal https://cybercrime.gov.in/ so that the complaints of the applicants can be resolved quickly.

The one-day training workshop was concluded by giving certificates to the Cyber Nodal Officers and Assistant Cyber Nodal Officers who participated in the training program by Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone-01, Shri Vinod Kumar Meena and Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone-01, Shri Alok Kumar Sharma and all Gave instructions to officers/employees to operate the cyber desk successfully.
