Initiative of Gwalior Police: Children of police personnel will be proficient in various sports disciplines.

Summer camp started in Police Line, children will get training in various sports disciplines to enhance their talents.

As per the inspiration and instructions of Bhopal, summer camps are being organized during summer vacations for the children of police families in all the units of the state. In the same sequence, today, Sunday, May 19, 2024, a summer camp was organized at the Police Line Gwalior located in front of the Central Jail, Bahodapur. This summer camp was inaugurated by Inspector General of Police Gwalior Zone Mr. Arvind Saxena, BHP and DIG Gwalior Range Smt. Police Superintendent Gwalior Shri Dharmaveer Singh, IPS, along with other police officers, employees, and children, attended the Krishna Vrindavan Deshavatu, Bhapuse.

Before the inauguration of the summer camp, the chief guest of the program, Inspector General of Police, Gwalior Zone and Deputy Inspector General of Police, Gwalior Range, were welcomed by the Superintendent of Police, Gwalior. There after the guests present were informed about the outline of the summer camp. The summer camp organized at Police Line Gwalior for the children of policemen will run for 30 days and various indoor and outdoor games will be organized in it. Its objective is to teach new things to the children participating in the summer camp, develop a sense of independence in them and develop social skills and self-confidence in the children. So far, 274 children have registered themselves in the 30-day summer camp organized at Police Lines, Gwalior.

On the occasion of the inauguration of the summer camp, Inspector General of Police Gwalior Zone said that along with studies, sports are very important for the overall development of children. Sports not only helps in mental development but also physical development in children. Children who do well in sports will be encouraged to move ahead. On the inauguration occasion, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Gwalior Range told the children present that sports is very important for physical and mental development. Whatever sport you choose, give your 100% and a good coach has been arranged for you by the police department, which you should take full advantage of. On this occasion, Superintendent of Police Gwalior said that expert coaches of various sports have been arranged for all of you, so whichever sport you have chosen, work hard with your heart and practice regularly to move ahead game for you.

All sports disciplines will be organized under the guidance of coaches of the department. The children participating in the 30-day long summer camp who perform well will also be rewarded and the identified children will be encouraged to move forward and provided facilities. On this occasion, the Superintendent of Police said that due to the summer camp, children should stay away from the ill effects of mobile, TV, social media and electronic games and play games of their choice on the field, so that we remain physically and mentally healthy. This will also bring out their talent and their future will be bright.

On this occasion, Inspector General of Police Gwalior Zone and Deputy Inspector General of Police Gwalior Range got introduced to the present coaches and players of the teams and encouraged them to move forward. Volleyball competition was started by him. After this, all the officers present also enjoyed the volleyball competition. This 30-day summer camp includes 14 types of sports, including 07 indoor and 07 outdoor sports. In these sports, children will be given sports training as per their interest by good coaches. Children will choose the sport of their choice and will progress in it and this will prove to be very useful and this event will also keep the children physically fit.
