• In the series of promoting it among the general public, the police team reached various coaching institutes in the city among the students and gave them knowledge of the new law.
• Posters of comparative descriptions of the Indian Judicial Code and Indian Penal Code were put up in all the police stations of the city.

As per the instructions of the Government of India, new criminal law 2023 is coming into force from 1st July 2024, for the successful implementation of which all the officers/employees of Indore Police should also take action after getting fully trained and the general public should also be aware in this regard, keeping this in mind, Police Commissioner Urban Indore Rakesh Gupta has given guidelines to all the officers for training workshops and action for its promotion among the general public. In continuation of the said instructions, Additional Commissioner of Police (O./Ad.) Amit Singh and Additional. Under the guidance of the Police Commissioner (Adm./Chief.) Manoj Kumar Srivastava, training workshops of the New Criminal Law-2023 have been organized continuously for the police officers and employees for the past few days, as well as publicity about the various provisions and facilities of the new law is also being done among the common citizens.

In this episode, today on 29.06.24, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police Headquarters Indore Shri Jagdish Dawar, the team of Training and Awareness Cell of Indore Police reached various coaching institutes of the city – Winners Academy Bhanwarkuan, Mahatma Gandhi Institute Bhanwarkuan and Satyadhi Sharma Classes Navlakha and gave detailed information about the various provisions of the new criminal laws to about 1100 students.

The police team told everyone that the three new laws – Indian Judicial Code, Indian Civil Defense Code and Indian Evidence Act have been made keeping in mind the interests of the general public. In this, keeping the problems of the victims in crimes related to women and children at the center, attention has been given to more stringent punishment for the criminals, etc. There is a provision of FIR facility and E-FIR as per the situation in case of any incident.

The importance of digital evidence, forensic evidence has been increased in the new law and the time limit for everything has been fixed within how much time the investigation has to be completed and the chart sheet has to be presented and the update of the case will be given to the victim within the time limit. There is also a process of videography of the statement of the witness and victim etc. and taking the statement through electronic medium. The police team explained to them the comparative charts and provisions of the new and old laws through PPT and posters etc.

In the same sequence, Indore Police is continuously training police officers and employees regarding the new criminal laws.

Keeping in mind that the common people should also be aware of this, posters of comparative descriptions of the Indian Judicial Code and Indian Penal Code were put up in all the police stations of urban Indore so that any complainant and common man coming to the police station should be aware of the various sections and provisions of the new criminal law and they should not be confused in any way.
