About Us
Under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign being run across the country for environmental protection, about 2000 saplings were planted on a large scale in all the police stations, outpost premises, police lines, and offices of Gwalior district today on 11 July 2024 at 11 am. In the main plantation program organized at Police Line Gwalior, Inspector General of Police Gwalior Zone Shri Arvind Kumar Saxena (IPS) and Superintendent of Police Gwalior Shri Dharmveer Singh, IPS planted saplings along with the present police officers and employees and their families. On this occasion, Additional Superintendent of Police (East/Traffic/Crime) Shri Shiaz K.M. (IPS), Additional Superintendent of Police Rural Shri Niranjan Sharma, In-charge CSP Gwalior Mrs. Kiran Ahiwar, DSP (Traffic) Shri Ajit Singh Chauhan, DSP Radio Shri Rajkumar Kushwaha along with other police officers and employees and their families and children were present.
Overview
This morning, Deputy Inspector General of Police Gwalior Range Smt. Krishnaveni Deshavatu (IPS) organized a grand program by planting saplings under the campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” in the office premises located at SAF Ground Campus. After this, 50 fruitful and shady plants 10 to 12 feet in height were planted by the officers and employees posted in the office and tree-guards have also been installed for the protection of the said plants and the employees were instructed to take care of the planted plants daily.

In the program organized at Police Line Gwalior, the Inspector General of Police Gwalior Zone and Superintendent of Police Gwalior and other police officers and their families planted fruitful and shady plants and they were protected by installing tree guards. On this occasion, the Inspector General of Police Gwalior Zone said that police officers and employees should protect the environment, express gratitude towards the mothers who plant trees with their families, and take care of them like a child because it is our responsibility to protect the plant planted in the memory of the mother. After planting the trees, the police officers and employees took selfies and uploaded the photos on the Vayudoot (Ankur) app.
Today on 11th July 2024 – in the morning, hundreds of saplings were planted by police officers and employees in all the police stations, outposts, police lines, and office premises of Gwalior district along with school students, social workers, social organizations, and villagers under the plantation campaign. In which saplings of Neem, Peepal, Banyan, Sheesham, Ashoka, Mango, Jamun, Amaltas, Amla, Tamarind, Kachina, Gulmohar, Champa, Palas, Pakhar etc. were planted. In the Uttila police station premises, SDOP Behat Santosh Patel planted saplings along with police officers and employees.
Conclusion
On this occasion, the women present in the village sang songs depicting the importance of trees and also planted saplings with the police.
