Independence Day was celebrated differently in Freedom Fighter School located in Madina Nagar (Azadnagar). On this occasion, Freedom Fighter School Director Nawab Zulfikar Ali Bahadur told the school children the history of freedom fighters. He said that freedom fighters were those people who selflessly sacrificed their lives for the freedom of their country. On this occasion, Principal Begum Kausar Ali Bahadur, Hafiz Haider Ali and other teachers also gave information about the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the freedom struggle. It is worth mentioning that Freedom Fighter School is a 45-year-old school and is serving the children of the country to date as per its name. Zulfikar Ali Bahadur’s great-grandfather Nawab Ali Bahadur, who was Nawab Banda II, actively participated in the freedom struggle against the British during the 1857 revolt.
Today, his great-grandson Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Bahadur (Banda Nawab) is engaged in serving the country by educating the future generation through Freedom Fighter School, so that the country can get better citizens in the future.
