Brief Description:-

On 14.09.2024, information was received through a reliable informer that a person Ajay Mangal Sharma is operating two of his Ashok Leyland trucks on the same registration number MH-04-JU-3109, one of which will come towards Laxmangarh bridge and one truck is kept in Transport Nagar whose registration number is genuine and by running MH-04-JU-3107 on the said genuine truck number MH-04-JU-3109, illegal profit is being earned by evading government tax and causing financial loss to the government by not getting insurance and to use it, the truck owner is using forged documents, fastag etc. Senior police officers were informed about the above information, on which taking the information seriously, Superintendent of Police Gwalior Mr. Rakesh Kumar Sagar, IPS directed to verify the information and take action. On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Gwalior, Additional Superintendent of Police (East/Traffic/Crime) Mr. Shiaz K.M. (IPS) deployed Crime Branch teams for action.

As per the instructions of senior officers, under the able guidance of ASP Crime Mr. Ayush Gupta (IPS), DSP Crime Mr. Nagendra Singh Sikarwar, Police Station Incharge Crime Branch Inspector Ajay Singh Panwar sent Crime Branch teams towards Laxmangarh bridge to verify the informer’s information. After some time, the Crime Branch teams saw an Ashok Leyland closed body truck with registration number MH-04-JU-3109 coming, which was stopped by the Crime Branch team and on asking the name of the driver, it was found that the said truck was being driven by driver Abhinav Raj son of Raj Bahadur and there was no goods loaded in the truck. When the Crime Branch team asked for the documents of the truck from the driver, he presented the photocopy of the documents of vehicle no. MH-04-JU-3109. In which the said registration number MH-04-JU-3109 and chassis number MB1CTCHD2JPWG3340 and engine number JWPZ154435 were found. Later, when the chassis number and engine number were checked on the body of the truck, chassis number MB1CTCHD5JPWG3557 and engine number JWPZ154639 were found inscribed on the body of the truck and Fastag was fitted. When the said registration number MH-04-JU-3109 was checked on the online site of RTO, then as per the information of vehicle no. MH-04-JU-3109, the owner of the vehicle is Ajay Mangal Sharma son of Rameshwar Dayal Sharma resident of. Vakratund Plaza B Wing Kashili Gramdistrict Thane Maharashtra and permanent address C-10 Aprabha Apartment Mota Nagar Jairyanagari Baramati Pune Maharashtra and engine number JWPZ154435 and chassis number MB1CTCHD2JPWG3340 was found.

When the chassis number MB1CTCHD5JPWG3557 of the truck recovered from driver Abhinav Raj was checked on the online site of RTO, the registration number of the said vehicle was found to be MH04JU3107 and engine number JWPZ154639 and the owner of the vehicle was Ajay Mangal Sharma son of Rameshwar Dayal Sharma resident of Vakratund Plaza B Wing Kashili Gramdistrict Thane Maharashtra and permanent address C-10 Aprabha Apartment Mota Nagar Jairyanagari Baramati Pune Maharashtra. When the Crime Branch team questioned the driver Abhinav Raj, he told that he had no knowledge about changing the number plate. He has only been driving the truck for the last two months and the vehicle owner has provided the said number plate and vehicle documents. The Crime Branch kept the said truck at Maharajpura police station for safety and searched for another truck which was being driven on registration number MH04JU3109 in Transport Nagar, which was found parked near HP petrol pump. When the Crime Branch team verified its engine number and chassis number, the engine number was found to be JWPZ154435 and the chassis number was MB1CTCHD2JPWG3340 and a fast tag was installed. According to the information available on the online site of RTO, it was found to be correct when the documents submitted by the driver Abhinav Raj were matched. The said truck has been kept at Bahodapur police station for safety.

The Crime Branch team received information about the vehicle owner Ajay Mangal Sharma, son of Rameshwar Dayal Sharma, that he is residing in Ramkalanagar Police Station Murar area. When he was searched in Ramkalanagar Police Station Murar, it was found that he is residing in Mittal’s house on rent for the last three years, but he was not found at home. The wife of the vehicle owner Ajay Mangal Sharma was found at home. The wife was instructed to present Ajay along with the original documents of the vehicles before the police. Ajay Mangal Sharma, son of Rameshwar Dayal Sharma, was not found on search. The above act of the vehicle owner Ajay Mangal Sharma, son of Rameshwar Dayal Sharma, was found punishable under Section 318(2), 318(4), 336(2), 336(3), 338, 339, 340(2) of the Indian Penal Code. Hence, a case under FIR No. 78/24 was registered against the said accused in the Crime Branch Police Station Gwalior and investigation was taken up.
