The meeting of the district unit of Bihar State Primary Teachers’ Union Gop Group was held on Sunday under the chairmanship of District President Manish Kumar at a private residence in Makuna Tola near Naya Bazar Rlal College in the city. The main demands were that the block/panchayat/city teachers should be promoted as soon as possible and then they should be made to join the post of special teacher. In the case of Raghvendra Sharma vs Bihar Government, promotion should be given as soon as possible in the remaining 20 districts. The eighth pay commission should be constituted as soon as possible. The old pension scheme should be implemented. Payment of salary to BPSC teachers as per the Central Pay Matrix. Payment of salary deduction made in the name of dharna and inspection and withdrawal of all repressive actions. Teachers should be given 33 days of earned leave in a year. The school’s operating period should be kept as before. Payment of 15% salary hike arrears (April-21 to June 24).

Serious discussions were held on various important points including stopping privatization and commercialization of education. District Secretary Manoj Kumar, Treasurer Aman Kumar, Senior Vice President Chandan Kumar, Vice President Shambhu Narayan, Vice President District Representative Geeta Paswan Umashankar Singh and many others were present on the occasion.
