A speeding truck collides with a gas tanker on the Murtijapur National Highway

Murtijapur: A major accident was averted when gas tanker CG 08 AF 2426 going from Akola to Amravati and Tata truck MH 09 EM 9994 going from Amravati collided.

Cars going towards Akola collided with each other near Gupta Petrol Pump on National Highway No. 53. In the accident, the diesel tank of the gas tanker burst and the cabin of the Tata truck was damaged. Being a gas tanker, the explosion of its diesel tank created an atmosphere of fear.

Traffic was stopped on both sides of the national highway, resulting in long queues of vehicles. Understanding the seriousness of the incident,Tehsildar Shilpa Bobde Rural Police SHO Surendra Raut and Assistant Inspector Hemant Garde Surendra Pandey Swanil Khade reached the spot along with police personnel. city and rural police stations, and the city council fire brigade. Jai Gajanan emergency team helped control the situation. People were stunned to see how serious the accident was. Later, when the disaster was averted and the situation improved, they heaved a sigh of relief and the rural police took possession of both the accident trucks and started traffic.
