Trainee students were given information about prevention, treatment and protection from HIV and AIDS.
On International Youth Day on Monday, a one day workshop on HIV and AIDS was organized among the trainee students under the chairmanship of Principal Suruchi Singh at ANM Training School located at Naya Bazar Sadar PHC in the city. In which HIV AIDS Control District Unit DPM Arvind Kumar Rai and Advisor Akhilesh Kumar Singh collectively provided detailed information to the trainee students about various schemes including prevention, causes, prevention, treatment and incentive amount given by the government to the victim related to HIV and AIDS. The risks caused by the related disease, possible risk in pregnancy, need for syphilis test, toll free number 1097 for testing and treatment related to the newborn baby of HIV infected pregnant woman, its confusing situation in the society, service available at state and district level, confidentiality, free and easy facility of medicine at ART center were discussed in detail. The Social Welfare Department also provided detailed information to the girl trainees about the Parvarish Yojana, Bihar Shatabdi AIDS Victim Welfare Yojana, services available in STI and Sexual Safety Clinic and the related Law Act 2017.
Arvind Kumar Rai informed that for two months from 12th August to 12th October, the HIV AIDS Prevention Control Unit is running a campaign in the district to prevent serious diseases like HIV AIDS through such programs. During this, the girl trainees were made to take a pledge with prayer to protect themselves from serious diseases and also inspire the people of the society to protect themselves.
